Last year he was flying at the Dauphiné and then was super bad at the TdF.have you insight into O Connors numbers then
Of course he will get better ...he has before
Most people are making the mistake you gotta be ready for week 3. This years TDF is different. You need to be ready from day 1.Gaudu is just so bad here, he lost almost a minute on Alaphilippe.
Not good. I know some people are downplaying this (in France) with talk of "he'll be better next month", but I don't know. It seems like there's something wrong going on with his form since April.
Carapaz being out of the top 10 at 1-week races is the normwhat has happened to Carapaz these days

You're not gonna lose minutes in the first 2 days. But yes, the Pyrenees come early, but in general you can't be minutes off the pace on day 1 of the TdF. Any swings in form aren't gonna be by minutes on a unipuerto stage. Most people are making the mistake you gotta be ready for week 3. This years TDF is different. You need to be ready from day 1.
A lot of people are gonna make mistakes in their bets![]()
Former. We have imported "fan" in the other sense, so then it'd be "fankrig".Is that as in an object that moves air, as apposed to a supporter or follower?![]()
Croix de Fer is never the focal point of a stage though, and they typically don't do the Molard side either.Climb has been used extensively over the years so will be really interested to see the time up that, conditions looked good and was hard paced.
I think he does , 4th in 2021O'Connor does not have the level for the hardest GT mountain stages which riders like Mas, Hindley , Carapaz etc do have.

I know that he crashed. But he also lost 1 minute in the opening time trial, whereas at the Dauphiné he had a strong ITT. So yeah, I watched the race and I don't think he was as strong as at the Dauphiné regardless of any crashes. He was injured in more than one fall
He had to retire after trying to ride on fro several days
jasus have you not seen The Tour De France Unchaine even
Do you guys not watch anything !!!!
Agreed.Bunch of peoples overreacting to a warm up race.
Yes, plus the numbers can‘t be compared to other climbs because of the altitude.Croix de Fer is never the focal point of a stage though, and they typically don't do the Molard side either.
I wasn't talking about GTs. Specifically mentioned 1 week stage races. I don't think he's anywhere close to being the 5th best GT racer in the world.Today but not necessarily 5th best over all
Hindley, O Connor , Gaudu and Mas will get better
Hindley is a slow starter and better as a GTs go on
These are the guys fighting fro 3rd in the Tour
I cant see anyone from INEOS on the podium
It's pretty high but at the same time the 6.5km 8.2% is a very common sort of effort if you just adjust for altitude a little bit.Yes, plus the numbers can‘t be compared to other climbs because of the altitude.
He does, and you can also see what they're still going to work on in the next few weeks. The initial acceleration is great, probably Pogi level, but then he struggles a bit (relatively speaking of course, he's still by far the best in this field).Vingegaard looks ready for the Tour start
In post-race interview Vingo said he's not quite peaking yet, he has more fine-tuning to do. So yeah, we should plan on seeing more from Vingo at the Tour.He does, and you can also see what they're still going to work on in the next few weeks. I think he is where he wants to be: good, really good even, but not at his very best.
Last part (7k or so) is the same isn't it? Seem to remember Quintana and Valverde attacking here hard but my memory might be wrong.Croix de Fer is never the focal point of a stage though, and they typically don't do the Molard side either.
Actually, I'm planning to see less from Vingo at the TourIn post-race interview Vingo said he's not quite peaking yet, he has more fine-tuning to do. So yeah, we should plan on seeing more from Vingo at the Tour.
