Didn't see him get green, he certainly worked very hard, did disproportionate share up front. Did see Milan roll through line late in yellow, big relaxed smile on his face!! Today's move by Mathieu was bold and beautiful!!Mathieu's last chance to wear the Yellow came and went. He looked a little disappointed donning the Sprinter's jersey.
Return of the mountain sprinter?Congrats to Romeo on his biggest win to date. MVP was the favourite from the break but couldn't control those attacks, his form isn't top either. Unfortunately no GC action on the last climb, Teddy riding conservatively: number of his attacks so far: big fat 0.
Pogacar on TT bike doing warm down, looks like he might use it for the entire race instead of switching for small climb, will be curious to see what Remco does ..
Lipowitz is much more effective than Romeo, I want both riders to succeed but Lipowitz has more depth.. Romeo has great opportunity in TT ..People talking about the Lippipotamus but Romeo (sorry my spelling earlier) is a dangerous guy to give over a minute no?
Remco suggested he might..I doubt anyone will be switching bikes for a 1.8 km climb.
one minute only between all riders. stupid giro with 3 minutes between each of the top 20. I get it, but one of the fun things in ITT watching is seeing if any riders get caught.
really? just now?Remco suggested he might..
Post of the Year for me so far!!Romeo would fit the image of a teenaged heartthrob in the late 80s/early 90s, he's pretty like that (I don't know male beauty standard of today despite having a 20-year old daughter, looking at what she brings home she has no clue either).
🛌🤔So, sometimes when you miss-spell a rider's name... you turn him into a completely different rider
You are right, !!Remco comments were about uphill TDF time trial not DauphineI doubt anyone will be switching bikes for a 1.8 km climb.
You are correct, TDF not shallow 1.8 k bump!! My bad!!really? just now?
Or are you thinking of the interview when he was referring to the MTT in the TDF? There the question is whether the TT bike is beneficial enough just for the first 3 kms of flat.
Hes too big, like taller than Indurain. He can climb great for a guy his size, but unless his VO2 max is ungodly like Indurain, I can’t see him developing into a GC rider right now, but I could be wrong.Humans 2 - Aliens 1
GG Romeo, being a full-time GC rider is probably his future but for now he's at his best in this role.
The right question would be "Dangerous for who?" Even with the kind of softish finsihes for alpine standards on two oft the last three stages Lipowitz would be a immediate candidate for the Tour podium if he could hold one minute against Jonas and Pogi. Ain't gonna happen but one minute is a nice headstart for him (and Romeo) on the other GC guys behind the big three. Your Mas, Poole, Jorgensen, Rodriguez, Martinez guys who probably could go a big better on the last three stages but combined with this minute and maybe another time gain in the TT someone like Lipo could save the 4th place. Which would be a big success. If you regard startlist quality for sure a bigger one then finishing 2nd in Paris-Nice or 4th in Itzulia.Lipowitz is much more effective than Romeo, I want both riders to succeed but Lipowitz has more depth.. Romeo has great opportunity in TT ..
I keep reading Romeo as Remco.
The words have an eerie resemblance.
