Thomas coming from Bayern super form and a TT specialist at these distances behind Barta?

Yes,he wont be allowed to do better than Froome (or he decides himself) in order to not confuse sky tactics.lol this team is freakin nuts:eek:

Here's my go at a top ten for tomorrow.

Michael Kwiatkowski | Omega Pharma - Quick-Step
Christopher Froome | Team Sky
Alberto Contador | Tinkoff - Saxo
Wilco Kelderman | Belkin-Pro Cycling Team
Geraint Thomas | Team Sky
Tejay van Garderen | BMC Racing Team
Sylvain Chavanel | IAM Cycling
Vincenzo Nibali | Astana Pro Team
Daryl Impey | Orica GreenEdge
Jean-Christopher Peraud | AG2R La Mondiale

Less than 90 seconds to separate the top ten.

Good top ten I agree with most of it, contador to come fifth though and not more than 35 seconds or less between the top 10.

Like your list a lot. Reckon Van Garderen will do better, and Contador will be lower than 5th.

There's quite a nice little bump in the middle of the TT.

Looks flat to start with, which suits Froome, then that nice lil bumb, playing right to Froome's climbing strength, and then flat again which suits Froome very well indeed. I predict Froome to do well here.

Yep I am sure Sky will tell him no matter what, go slower than Froome, because him getting five seconds on Froome will mean he has to be the leader in the mountains. :D

90 seconds time gap in top 10?
I wouldnt mind take that bet, it wont even be 1 minute gaps.

top 5 i would say max 25 seconds, tops, and I wouldnt be surprised if AC surprises us all...

Well, all I said was less than ninety seconds over the top ten. Cagily. ;) (In all seriousness, I'm not yet used to following the sport to this fine a degree, so I'm still learning.)

I like the the look of Chavanel, only finished 23 secs behind Martin last week in Belgium.

Welcome to the CN Forum! Just remember the basic rule:

If you disagree with someone, don't use logical argument to counter anything they've said, just accuse them of being a 'fanboy'.

reality hurts diehard fans, agh. :)

on one hand this is the last opportunity to check each other in tt before the tour.i wouldnt rely too much on todays outcome although. big favorites keep in mind tomorrow's mountain finish

Contador mentioned in the article on the main page that he would take it a bit easy in some technical sections of the time trial. Cant risk a crash before the tour of course but that indicates to me he wont be winning. Such a short TT is decided on seconds and if he willfully leaves some seconds on the table he cant win.

Contador for top 10 within 25 secs of the winner.

It's just an excuse as he's doesn't believe he can win the stage and the dauphine...

that was against a field with no froome

I'm a froome fan and having followed the 2011 Giro (even) I have to admit that contador was on a level I've never seen since from a cyclist.

Thomas could win this, Froome should be the best of the GC guys but Contador shouldn't lose too much time here. If Kwia was on form i'd say he would win but I don't think he will.

I didn't make myself clear clearly. I meant there will be a max of 35 seconds between 1st and 10th. Seems low, but I guess we will see.

loool really? Please stop with the trolling mate ;)

Contador says he dont care if he wins it or not, for him it doesnt matter. Which sounds plausible since he never really went for it either. Its clear he only takes this race as prep for the tour, and nothing this year changed that obviously. But we can still read a lot from the race, interested in winning or not, the game IS on.
