really enjoy these time trials, a whole field shortish course, plenty to keep a cycling fan interested.

Does anyone know how far down any prize money goes on a stage like this?

both ac and cf (nibs yet) will want to check one another very seriously. every grand contender must know up to tour where he is compared to his peak fit. theres no use to ride and not to try because in that case you willnot absolutely know if you will be able to beat all the other guys come the tour. not to go at 95% at least is closer to cheating himself. then its a training session, not a competition

i'm exaggerating a bit of course but i remember 2005 itt tdf, what was that 15 km and lance caught ullrich. to be honest, nibali i don't think has any legs for this dauphine. and froomey is motivated like hell.

"I'll be looking for some answers and will have to use the signals I get as best as I can. It's important to remember that in 2012 I lost nine minutes to the winner of the stage to Morzine (Nairo Quintana) but then I finished on the podium at the Tour de France. I think I worked well at altitude."

ok. froome will definitely catch him :p

too short i agree but i really hope at least alberto goes full gas. my pick for the win overall is richie porte and kiwi for this particular stage. also go frisian beast!

Kelderman sets 13'24

Interesting at the 1st split so far:
1.KELDERMAN W. BEL en 6' 13''
2.SPILAK S. KAT en 6' 13

Spilak exactly same time.
Also between intermediate and finish, Kelderman won 16 seconds on Huzarski, who was only 3 seconds slower on the split. So.. there's time to be won after that climb as well

edit: Spilak +11s at the finish. So Kelderman made the difference on the flat parts.

Spilak slower at the finish. And some timing mistake with Szmyd I guess :D

ah it's fixed now. Anyway, Gougeard also has the same time at the intermediate.

Boom really fast on the first half. Was just going to say that the differences have been very small there...

Michal Merckx on the course.

Yep, if he goes at least 10s faster than Kelderman it's a good time. If it's more than 20s he'll probably win

edit:
1.BOOM L. BEL en 6' 07''
2.WESTRA L. AST en 6' 12''

Not a very good time by Spilak, but it's ok I guess. It's his first racing after more than a month.

Westra fails to confirm. Faster than Kelderman at the climb, but same time as Spilak at the finish.
Impey however, went 6s faster on the last part. So I wonder how fast Kwiatek will go
