Let me remind you that March is only 4 months away from July. And let me remind you that Lance's plans for July include riding the longest, toughest bike race in the world against one of the fastest stage racers ever to ride a bike. This is not something you take on after suddenly losing weight or without a serious base of race miles.
For lance it's worse than that TDF is at the begining of July, so there is just a bit more than 3 months to prepare it.
I'm not sure that a Ullrich preparation with less EPO than at that time would work enough.

LA's shuffling seems to be status quo during his Tour career or years. His focus seems to be on one race and the rest is just for training and fitness. Did anyone ever really expect him to place well in any race other than the Tour during his 7 tour wins?

So complaining about his shuffling of his schedule and his sudden "gas" issues seem to be a moot point.

So come Crit Int'l time, if he does race I don't expect to see him go for a podium spot. However, I think AC will try for apodium spot just to show LA up. If he does it would seem LA's mind games are working. AC shouldn't even be wasting his time on thoughts of LA.

You do realise Contador won Algarve and almost Paris-Nice last season too, and who won the Tour easily? I dont think 2 days of hard racing is gonna change his Tour form much.

People are OTT about fat Lance but Lance 2010 is not Lance in his Tour winning run. He did finish Top 10 in Murcia but he does look badly out of shape at the end of March. If he pulls out of Criterium International, he is definitely on the run from Conatador. How you can say Armstrongs mind games are working is pure fantasy.

He cannot disappear of for months and then come back in top shape, that is just suspicious. Almost any pro will tell you the best way to get in shape quickly is through racing. Its just hard to see how he can get in top shape for the Tour, from the shape he is in now.

Let me remind you that he is 38 overweight and not getting ANY race miles in his legs. And psychologically he is on the run from his self-identified nemesis.

Lance is a sociopath. He knows how to win. Whatever doctor or computer or trainer he is working with is doing it byNUMBERS.

It is obvious if you read Lances book Lances war, the 2003 Tour its not about the bike etc.

I predict he will even skip the epic Nevada City Criterium in favor of solitary miles, wind tunnel, secret visits to Ferrari etc. Oh yeah, I heard after ToC Lance is going on a 6 week trek up K2 to check his VO2 max.

I know the forum likes to call him fat and geriatric including the Shack in their diatribes however we shall see results in July.

If I had my choice Lance would be riding every important race like Merckx did, but alas Lance is not the Cannibal.

I am impressed at third at the only race America know. Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Even doing it by the numbers doesn't help the psyhce.
Careful that the warm fuzzy feeling isn't a gerbil named Lance.

Assuming everything you say is true, he's still 38, overweight, with no real race miles in his legs and is on the run psychologically from his self-proclaimed nemesis.

Lance is a trickster. I was bored I read his books. He spins yarns and watches his opponents. Lance is a coyote.

I see Schleck and Contador watch and learn from Lance, they are learning to play Lances' mind games, switching races, possibly feigning injury or illness. Contador canceling a race which he would probably win but might effect his fitness in a negative manner in the future and Andy dropping out of Cataluya for example.

Like I have always said Lance is all about July. If he is in it for the money or his ego I don't care, I like to watch him operate.

Sorry its not going to be Contador this year. I have a bad feeling that he will have mishap. Contador is the best though. I am big fan of his. Andy will have mishap also. Plus I just do not think he has it in him to win the big one. Unfortunate because Andy is such a nice guy. Frank S. has been warned not to do dope anymore + he is a little burnt out.

That leaves Lance. Read it and weep.

Even if AC and AS don't do it, Lance won't be on the top step. This year's course doesn't favor a 38 year old with no kick and no desire to train.

Well, Lance does have the advantage of having a ton of fanboys blowing hot air up his a$$, which can only help him in the mountains.

That could explain why he looks bloated.
