Technically speaking, wouldn't this be an insult too?

Buckwheat sought out an employee of CN on twitter and harassed here there about his temporary ban on this forum. He was repeatedly told by Laura that he should do this through messaging on twitter and that she was not the correct person for this. He continued harassing her in public on twitter and was subsequently permanently banned because of this.

craig1985 said:How about putting some decent arguments that DAOTEC should be allowed back? Meh, I'm not going to write an obituary's for him, I mean you take your 7-day ban and cool your heels on the sidelines and don't create any multi's (not that they are allowed at any point, and one of the common universal laws on all forums), and then make your long awaited comeback. It's not that hard to follow, but I guess for some people it is.
I had a lot of respect for DAOTEC, but then what did it for me, was that late last year (IIRC around August or September), when everybody knew that Jakob Fuglsang was leaving Riis to go ride for the Schleck's at Leopard-Trek (even Mr Fuglsang said so himself), DAO posted some story that Fuglsang was going to stay with Riis at Saxo, so when a Danish poster called him out on it, DAO lost the plot, and implied he was right and the Danish person was wrong, when he/she asked DAO for a credible link (it was in the old 2011 transfers thread).
skidmark said:Well, I dunno. I think banning him for life for making a post under another name seems super harsh. I didn't, before this ban, understand how seriously the mods took the 'posting under another name' thing until this blew up, and I'm sure a lot of other people aren't that aware of it either. I have made posts under a fake name on other forums to be playful (like to make jokes, not wind people up), and never thought anything of it. If I was banned for life for doing that, I wouldn't understand it. If I didn't get a chance to apologize and say 'sorry, now that I know that rule I'll fall in line', I'd think it was unfair. From reading this thread, I haven't seen mention that he had a chance to respond, but rather it's been implied that he was just banned, period.
I get that his case is different in that he insulted a mod first, despite being warned. But that's hardly as serious as what Buckwheat or BPC did, I mean BPC disrupted this forum for months and I saw him make like 2 posts that were useful contributions to cycling discussion. DAO was the opposite, tons of cycling discussion tinged with a bit of arrogance and bickering. Yeah, ban him extra for using another name, yeah make him acknowledge that he has to follow the rules before he's allowed to return, but take a holistic approach to the situation and ask what's really so serious about what he did. You might think it's still pretty serious. I (granted, not having that many details other than what I gleaned here) don't think it is.
Sorry to bring this up after this discussion has died down, I was just thinking about it a bit and wanted to articulate my thoughts.
What I'm saying is that I'm in love with Daotec. I'm having his baby and I don't care what you people think. Bring him back, I miss him.
Whoa, would his baby have some kind of weird smiley face? That would be awesome.
13. Re-registering after a ban under a new name will result in a potential lifetime ban.
