Wendy Houvenaghel fastest rider in BC and left out of the team and a sick rider put in instead.

5 women who have put the boot into BC so far. Must be bitter that they were not good enough!!!

Brailsford not a pleasant man it would appear.

Yeah I just got a snippet of this on the radio. Another top rider supporting everything Varnish, Cooke and Pooley have said.

The snippets of what she said:

''culture of fear''

''medals at any cost ethos''

''no choice''

''if you rocked the boat you were out...no ifs or buts''

In other news, British Swimming female paralympians coming out in a similar vein...culture of bullying. Investigation to be launched. Is there going to be an avalanche of speaking out about bullying culture in other British sports?

Has this cycling genius been muted by Sky or is it a self imposed media ban?

Have barely seen or heard from him since the season began.

It was the best strategy to put a muzzle on Sir Dave as he was drowning in his own management speak. Word has it that rival team managers are none too pleased with him for offering up stories about others teams. Brailsford hasn't become Bruyneel level toxic but he is well on the way.

He,s certainly a changed man - no more arrogance and Mr Cocky in his interviews - looks like he has no confidence.

I was expecting a repeat of "Froome's run" stage - complain and whine to all. Maybe he's been told that "the clocks ticking" for him.

Yep

Previously he laid claim to being whiter than white, the Angel Gabriel.

I suspect now his reputation is tarnished, as a fallen angel he is not afforded the same preferential treatment amongst grand tour organisers.

In all of the brouhaha over the Phelps report, this was the most fascinating thing I read:
During the late 2000s and until 2014 the report noted that the relationship between the performance directors of British Cycling and UK Sport had “deteriorated to the point of being nonexistent” because of two reviews carried out by Deloitte which were critical of the conflicts of interest between Team Sky and British Cycling, and that as a result Brailsford did not meet UK Sport for several years. That surely should have been a red light.

...the fact that DB has still got froomedawg to the tour despite all the revelations speaks volumes........

What!!! Jeezuz, this is the circus, it takes a lot of fuckuppery to get a big name thrown out of the Tour. Not sure what Froome has done to be considered not riding Le Tour. Wiggins now is a different ball game. He probably would not have got a ride this year if he was still on a WT outfit.

Froome appears to do his own thing with Ms Froome. Not sure DB has any say at all. I guess the Froome's keep Sky updated rather than the other way.

I know that we have already heard from Brailsford at the tour but it looks like Portal is taking over most of the sky media duties. We have heard very little of Brailsford recently.

The bully is a coward.

Remember that press conference where he essentially invited the press to get together and give it their best shot at asking doping questions? Where's that bravado now Dave?
