One minute it's 'we can release stuff', the next minute it's 'we can't'," Brailsford said.

Didn't Froome say they would release a lot of details, then SDB said, "well ....... no."?

The quicker he can get there and learn what a president of an international federation's responsibilities are, the better it will be for everyone, but he’s got some work to do."

So his job is to do whatever the teams want - especially Sky?

Arrogant?! :D He's upset ASO & UCI now, and RCS were n't to pleased after finding out about Froome's "presumed AAF" after getting his 2 million Euro appearance dosh.

Just hope the idiot who did n't like Aqua Blue's bus, does n't have the same feelings about SDB & Sky.

I.e as soon as he knows he is here to bow down to us and jump when we say jump like Cooky did the better.

Need to get Lappy nice and snug in his Sky gear just like Cookie

Brailsford is a nut. Lance was smart enough to know you don’t mess with the UCI. You need them on your side not against you. Dawgs bike checks just went up to daily along with daily blood checks.

After the Froome AAF decision last week, I thought there were signs of the old Sir Dave arrogance returning. He had come out of hiding to place himself at the forefront of the Sky machine again when it came to media duties. All of the old arrogance, posturing and pontificating had returned in spades. In effect he had got his old mojo back after surviving fancy bears, parliament hearings and AAF's. He had become emboldened again.

It is said that the best form of defence is attack so it will be interesting to see how this one pans out from here after attacking Lappartient's presidency. Brailsford is a lot of things but stupid is not one of them and I think he believes that he and his team are more powerful than the president and actual governing body of the whole sport. He could well be correct. Only in cycling would such an arrangement exist.

You've totally missed the point, he's calling on Lappartient to simply be a president and do what presidents should. After the relics he picked as his team, i'm not surprised UCI's just gone back to 20 years though.

Ah this again. It's not like Cookson didn't have "relics", as we established the last time you tried trotting out this piece of nonsense. And you still haven't said who he should have picked. Still thinking about it?

Cookson for one had a woman on his team, Lappartient sacked her! And he didn't make VP Rocco his right hand man either for how well he's run Italian Cycling Federation did he?

You're British, aren't you? So you believe in a cabinet of rivals, right? Which is why you think Lappartient should have petitioned the rest of the management committee - do note that bit please, it's important - to elect a woman who campaigned against his election, right? Remind me, just how is that cabinet of rivals thing working out in the UK?

Petitioned Rocco lol. Man that is the funniest thing i've ever heard here! Please!
As funny as the rules, which I'm sure you've read. You've been shown them before:
Article 49 Presidency and Vice-Presidency
1. The President of the UCI shall also be the Chairman of the Management Committee.
2. The Management Committee shall elect three Vice-Presidents from among its members by secret ballot.

You think it was credible what he did with Astana then?
When you really haven't got a clue what you're talking about, you change the subject so quickly people could get whiplash, you do realise that, don't you? It's sort of your tell. Sam changes the subject? Sam hasn't got a clue what he's talking about.

FWIW I think Brailsford's words give a clue as to what has gone on behind the scenes with Froome's AAF and reactions to it from stakeholders. There is clearly a huge amount of vitriol.

Quite like McQuaid popping up to warn Brailsford to remember the Jiffybag. The message behind that is clear.

So what was credible then? I'm not changing the subject, i'm talking about Rocco doing deals behind the back of the UCI Licence Commission and Vice Presidents.

I don’t know what Brailsford was thinking. He managed to pull a swift one and get WADA to drop the case against Froome forcing the UCIs hand. When you do this you keep your mouth shut on the topic but he appears to be going the Bruyneel route.

I’ve no idea of any behind the scenes vitriol or battles between Brailsford and the UCI. Brailsford comes across as an arrogant bully. Is he really putting the elected UCI President in his place on the eve of the Tour de France?

FWIW, if this represents a paradigm shift in Sky’s PR platform and they will now own their Evil Empire persona then I am all for it. That would add to the spectacle in a very entertaining way. Maybe hire Brock Lesnar as Froome’s bodyguard. But if Brailsford’s comments are simply rantings from a shady egomaniac then that dude has some serious issues.

Shades of Lance’s “has a lot to learn” tweet on Contador. That didn’t end up too well for LA. Same here for SDB, he is getting way to agressive especially when given a get out of jail free card.
