He is old. A grumpy old man!

Cycling superstar Mark Cavendish believes David Millar has paid the price for his doping past and deserves a second chance at London 2012.

Race Radio said:Armstrong has harassed JV and his team for years. Most of it never made public. I can understand why he would be careful with what he says. Yeah, Wonderboy is in serious trouble but often the animal is most dangerous when he is cornered.
thehog said:Why does he do this? Is it the anti-doping thing that riles him?
bobbins said:Reformed doper - who says?
doolols said:I'm sure, like others, he can profess to not failing a test since he came back to cycling. But then, we all know how reliable that is, don't we?
What is stupid is that there are differing standards - so (currently, until it gets overturned by CAS next year) the BOC can maintain a different punishment scheme than the UCI and the IOC. Millar can ride in the TdF, but not in the Olympics?
thehog said:Why does he do this? Is it the anti-doping thing that riles him?
Race Radio said:Everything riles him. Wonderboy is an angry guy. He is never happier then when he has something to be angry about. He can't comprehend why anyone would ride clean and attacks people like JV, Millar, LeMond, Floyd who try to upset the status quo.
bobbins said:Reformed doper - who says? I have no doubt that any tests done by BC that were adverse would be covered up and how is he meant to have redeemed himself? Has he compensated those that he cheated out of olympic places and world champ places?
Cav only says what his manager (Millars sister) tells him to.
The sport would be a better place without Millar.
What part of lifetime ban does Cav not understand?Swabian Lass said:The hobbit wants Millar in the olympic team because he wants a gold medal and he thinks that Millar will help his chances, based on the WC experience.

Swabian Lass said:Even if WADA get the British lifetime ban overturned (and I guess the odds are that they will) Millar still has to get selected. Although I suppose if Cavendish stamps his foot that might make a difference.
From a moral point of view, from what cycling is trying to achieve, from what cycling's been through the last few years, for what the Olympics stand for, he should never be able to do the Olympics again
Looks like me, the Olympics and Wiggins all think when the IOC says lifetime that means until your next lifetime. I like Wiggins saying that cycling is a little behindMambo95 said:Presumably, the same part WADA don't understand. They think people who have served their ban should be allowed to go to the Olympics too.

Winterfold said:That headline in no way represents the interview.
You could just as easily give it the headline ' "I would like Millar to do Olympics" says Wiggo.'
Or perhaps accurately - 'Wiggo not really sure what he thinks about Millar's lifetime ban.'
****s, and you have to pay for that quality journalism or go to jail.
(What interest could the BBC have in manufacturing a Cav vs Wiggo story eh? Hatred for News Corp will beat the truth every time)

Night Rider said:Does anyone realistically think CAS won't overturn the ban?
Martin318is said:Some seem to see it the other way. Including David himself this morning.
