I think UCI really are on top of Cav right now.
Target testing him as we speak and sending those samples to Cologne for a double check.
UCI leaving no stone unturned here, I'm confident.

It is hard to imagine a more determined sportsman. In recent times, he [Frodo] has become friendly with Lance Armstrong – they met in Las Vegas last September through Cavendish's Columbia-Highroad team-mate George Hincapie and "The Boss" tweeted "cool kid" after his San Remo win.

this guy is now coached by Oliver, son of UCI president Brian Cookson.
No irony there at all. We're not at all being taken for fools. Pssshh. Nahh.

And on what basis have you now decided that Oliver Cookson is now coaching Cavendish?

It's a serious question. I've tried to find out by googlibg what Cookson's role within DD actually is, and apart from a job title I am none the wiser.

So what have you found out, or have you just made this up?

It's your choice of words, sniper, not mine. I'm asking you to justify it with evidence.

It seems that you can't.

Re:

Last time I checked, DS-ing involves coaching. But that's probably a matter of taste, so again, feel free to replace the verb "coaching" with a verb that you feel more comfortable with.

Are you sure he's a DS? The DD website suggests not. So you are making several assumptions. That he is a DS. That he coaches. That he coaches Cavendish.

I guess Chavanel who got a pat on the back from Lance on Luz Ardiden 2003 is in your black book since then, no?

;)
Chavanel wasn't buddies with Lance/Hincapie/Scinto and isn't DS-ed by Cookson.
Why bring him into this?

I've no issue with a Cavendish. But if 35 year old Steve Cummings holds off Nibali today then unfortunately for me it becomes a bit crazy following on from Cummings' incredibly dominant stage win at the Dauphine (which raised my eyebrows at the time).

Lol at Cummings. Cavendish winning 3 is nothing suspicious but wtf is this

Actually now Nibali's been dropped by Impey. Cummings doesn't seem as suspicious any more (but still very suspicious)

His win on Mende was way more suspicious than this, Nibali simply has no form and Impey is not a mountain goat

Point taken on Nibali. But Cummings is still destroying Navarro who historically is an infinitely superior climber.

I would only attack like that before the start of the climb if I knew I had 200 watts extra for at least 20 minutes.

Also worth noting that Impey is not a safe comparison given his historic positive test. Totally inconclusive but I really did not like that. Cummings made it look so easy. Ageing and hurting from being rejected for Rio. The motivation to roll the dice may have been there.

It was tactics and leaning how to ride smarter... that's it

That was utterly ridiculous from Cummings, transforming into a mountain goat at 35 and putting a lot of time into renowned climbers whilst riding solo up a Category 1 climb. It's alright though, he has an admirer in David Walsh!

''Got to admire how Steve Cummings targets stages and way he then goes for it. He's got 45sec lead on three chasers with circa 11km to finish.''

''Cummings wins on his own. Brilliant ride. Seven stages so far, four won by Team Dimension Data. Impey out sprinted Navarro for second.''

Nibali and Navarro aren't exactly in top shape, considering they were beaten by Daryl Freakin' Impey.

Today was basically one big climb, not a traditional Tour De France mountain stage. Cummings is one of the many riders in the peloton that could handle the terrain, despite not being a mountain goat.

I'm not even a big Cummings fan, just a pragmatist.

Tomorrow he'll be toast, if not then maybe you guys are right.

Not that I think he's clean either, I just don't think he used a motor for this stage win.

Every day is like Constantino Zaballa in 2005 for this guy. I want to see him go VDB style for the rest of the race and ask directors in what way they want him to win.

4 WT stage races started in 2016 - 4 stages won.

In Dauphine the last mountain stage from a break with quality riders. Break had 4.30 with 50k to go, Cummings won with 3.58 and was the only one from the break who remained ahead.

I put my thumbs in the same position every time I ride my bike, I wish there was a motor to switch on most of the time... :D
That moment you've got a stupid car driver right behind you, but for some reason he takes ages to overtake you, and you wish you had either a motor or a missile launcher. :D
