Do you suggest that Mr Cookson Jr cannot work on a cycling team because his father is President of the UCI ?sniper said:good idea.
let's lower our standards even further.
for the sake of the Cookson family.

Or do you suggest Mr Cookson Snr step down because he has a son working within a cycling team ?
Hahaha, hilarious. Dirk is an orthopedist from my town. The guy has huge amounts of experience with cyclists, he helped me with certain issues in hip and legs where other docters were clueless. He helped dozens of my friends, teammates and fellow riders. He gives advice to many professional riders in my area incl. Gerald and Andy.sniper said:Dr. Dirk Tenner might be an interesting name here.
He's from Koeln and used to be (is?) head of a special medical unit of the German Athletics Federation, specializing in sports medicine and clinical surgery.
I'm assuming Aldag and/or Zemke brought him in.

While regular orthopedists are usually fast with cortisone injections because it's fast and helps Joe Average quickly, he gives stretching advice and works with people like Oliver from Solestar.
Frindly chap and awesome in what he does.
Internet research brings up a lot of crap apparently or leads to crappy assumptions.
Why this 'doping only' view of things?Mr.38% said:Yeah! And everyone - especially someone with a degree - involved in pro cycling is an enabler, facilitator and keeps a secret Mr. Hyde in the cabinet. It's so obivious, "doping doctor" is an alliteration for a reason!!
gladster said:Lefebvre said yesterday that Cavendish did not have the speed last year that he's showing now. That's why they disposed of him, and also why the African team was basically the only option. Anyone's suspicion of drug use would be roused just by Dish's sudden success after a couple of years of almost ludricously bad performances. That Dimension Data has dirty hands is no surprise.
Exactly! Just like anyone in the car business that is inheritely criminal and corrupt, from the guy at the assembly line to the sales person is a criminal. Sales people a corrupt, everybody knows. Fact.sniper said:Why this 'doping only' view of things?Mr.38% said:Yeah! The World Tour doesn't accept doping. The culture has changed, and doping enablers quickly get ousted from the peloton. Therefore, when DD got their license, I think it's plausible to assume that Aldag and Hammond (both of whom rode clean throughout their carreers) went looking for a zero-tolerance cycling doc.
And so they ended up with Dr. Dirk Tenner from Cologne, who also works for the German Athletics Federation, a Federation know for their strong antidoping stance.

To be able to race smarter, you have to be able to race smarter. One way to do that is to make sure you fitter than everyone else. Also, his placement wasn't even perfect, he was far off today and was lucky the Kittel train made it back to the front. To be able to pull a sprint like that after being caught that far from the front is amazing, especially as Cavendish seemed to sprint backwards relative to the other guys in the previous season.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight, Cav just "forgot" how to race for a few years....Kender said:Pantani Attacks said:Damn Cav back at it again with the thermo nuclear full *** alien juice. Chapeau![]()

It is hard to imagine a more determined sportsman. In recent times, he [Frodo] has become friendly with Lance Armstrong – they met in Las Vegas last September through Cavendish's Columbia-Highroad team-mate George Hincapie and "The Boss" tweeted "cool kid" after his San Remo win.
