And if anyone wants to make such a post, they have two separate spoiler tags they can use.
I'm talking about situations where people simply get carried away.
I think for situations like the first option above, if you have the presense of mind to remember:
"Hold, on. I should use spoiler-tags." It's just as easy to have the presense of mind to remember:
"Hold on. I should go post about this in the team thread."
(Or do some extended research about every situation in which the same team has won multiple races in a day, and make a post about it in the statistics thread.)
Yep, good points, I guess I could see where it might happen accidentally. I would hope that would be a one time thing.
Sure, making the first mistake should be something people learn not to do pretty quickly.
However, if you're watching multiple races at the same time, jumping back-and-forth between threads, it's quite easy to get the threads mixed up.
Or, I suppose there's also the somewhat rarer third option:
When you post about race B in the thread for race C because you
genuinely thought the thing you were looking at happened in race C, and you were mainly focusing on race A.
Regarding not caring if it happens, that’s fine for you but just because it doesn’t bother you doesn’t mean it’s not bothersome to a whole lotta other folks.
Which is why I take care not to cross-contaminate race threads.
And now for a philosophical question:
From what I undersand, RCS is planning on making a Lombardia Donne next year.
Now, if one of the UAE ADQ riders wins the women's race, would a post like "Oh, wow! UAE wins both races!" in the thread for the women's race be considered a spoiler? Even if it's before the men's race finish? These days, Pogacar winning Lombardia is hardly a spoiler these days.
