Did anyone see the sterrato stage in the 2011 giro? It took Nibali one hairpin on a sterrato descent to gap everyone by about 5 seconds

IMO nothing significant will happen at these stages. Evans doesnt need to take unnecessary risks, Nibali could try on paper, but for what? Such a thing might have come off in the Vuelta, but its the tour and the general team level is extremely high. Nobody will let Liquigas work at the front. The breakaway will fret and fume.
