He's also won RVV, LBL and a bunch of other big races. His son, Mathieu van der Poel is currently a first year espoirs and one of the biggest talents both on the road and on the field. As a junior he won both the cyclocross and the RR world championship, though. So he might get 1st where his father was 2nd.
