Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

All three peaking, Rogla stomps both.
All three peaking, Rogla doesn't make it to the point where he gets to stomp without getting dropped. You know, as per what we have been able to see with our eyes and so on :)

Actually, I'm regularly tempted to think Rogla would somehow be able to hold on. But each time I remind myself of some of the things those 2 idiots were able to pull off in the previous two editions of the Tour. Would Rogla have held Pogs wheel up the Cambasque? Would he have held on up the Tourmalet? Would he have followed Pog on Col de Romme and Colombiere? Can you honestly say you see him hanging on?

Well, Roglic was always very mockery of Evenepoel. And his body language when confronted with or speaking or joking about Evenepoel. But, that's not the problem. Within the merge team (in 2024 or 2025), there will be no place for Roglic anyway. Roglic wants to win the Tour. Even in the actual Jumboteam Vingegaard would have not to participate in the Tour 2024. I don't think so. But even Roglic being the leader (with a not 100 pro cent in form Vingegaard as domestique) he has no chance against a top Pogacar and even Evenepoel.

Roglič is a better GT rider than Evenepoel. At least so far.

I don't like rider comparisons (it's like tennis or f1 arguments about the GOAT, aka annoying & totally biased) but in this instance, I feel confident enough to say from a neutral standpoint Rog > Evenepoel in a GT.

Rog has the experience & can maintain form over 3 weeks on all terrain. Evenepoel meanwhile only just rode his first multi col mountain stage in France (the Tourmalet stage in the recent Vuelta).

One is a top 3 GT rider in the world (Rog), the other is all about the potential (Evenepoel). So far, the former remains stronger than the latter.

The discussion topic of the winter will be if 2024 is the year when Primoz finally wins the TdF.

I, btw, think that concerning GT GC riding, Pog, Rog, Evenepoel, and Vingegaard are equally strong. No one has an advantage among these four. If they all rode the Tour vs each other, it‘s impossible to predict who‘ll win.

It‘s like when Groenewegen, Jakobsen, de Lie and Kooij sprint for the line. Impossible to make a prediction.

I‘m sure we still haven’t seen the best of Primoz, yet. He only started racing bikes eleven years ago. He‘s 34, but he has raced for as long as most of his younger opponents have: 10 to 12 years.

Looking forward to watching Primoz race for still numerous, great seasons. Remember, Lance still podiumed the Tour with almost 40, in 2009.

2023 showed Primoz is back. Survived two GTs without crashing out, won Giro, podiumed Vuelta, won everything else. One of his best years. However every year was perfect since he started with Jumbo.

He now only misses TdS for all nine major tours wins, and TdF for all three GT wins. I think he should combine TdS and TdF next year.

No way Rogla drops if he has Kuss.

P.S. All in all i feel that Rogla manages just fine, going uphill, against anybody. The harder the climb the better for Rogla.

We're not seriously doing this, right? i.e. Rog versus Remco, war of words.

"Who hates who", September 2023 edition.

i interpreted it as hate towards remco if you're saying things behind his back.

So if a rider is on his wheel & calls him a c***, is that saying stuff "behind his back"?

I am disappointed in Roglic.

At his age he should be a mentor and not a gossipping schoolboy.

Major L for Jumbo fans.

I love it. It's everything great about social media.

Rider A says something vague about rider B hating rider C on his podcast, followed by fans of rider C getting angry at rider B... when we don't even know what he said.

It's just a perfect example of what #cyclinglife is in 2023.

Who called who a c***?

No one. Or maybe everyone. The point is it was a rhetorical question based on a hypothetical scenario... which I presented for the sake of joking.

You were too quick to say Rog is saying stuff behind Evenepoel's back... & too quick to introduce the word 'hate'.

Nothing happened, no one did or said anything. G Thomas simply made a light-hearted remark on his podcast (which I've listened to), i.e. with the usual typical British flippancy which some might get, whilst others perhaps not.

The point is this topic should not be taken literally.

Fair enough.
