Who cares. It seems he's going out and that's what matters.

The narrative is shifting and dragging the moment away from Jumbo. They can be dominant, but they will loose charisma. They will now be seen as the embodiment of big bucks that corrupt the sport and Roglic and Pogi the noble stoic soldiers that can fight it.

Likely they will manage just fine. Bastards. I agree, though, would be kinda special, Rogla winning Tour 2024 and beyond.

Looking forward to that.

What a load of nonsense. If there's anything that's pretty clear by now, it's that these two teams do NOT the have big bucks and are forced to merge to even survive. You think this is Plugge or Lefevere's dream scenario?

Pogi as the noble soldier with oil money trying to fight them... haha. How skewed can your view be.

Rodriguez will be co-leader at the TDF in name only.

If Roglic pulls the trigger and goes to Ineos, I think he will have the full team support.
If Roglic goes to Ineos it will be because they and Rodriguez assure him of their support. He's proven to be the great teammate when he's not the clear strongest rider and he should guarantee that as well.
JV field decisions created this mess and I hope they pay a fair price for it. It's "just business" but flagrant disrespect of one of your best players can come back to bite.

Learn to read and don't jump to your prejudices right away. I didn't say this is what is happening. That's why employed the term "narrative".

Any fandom tends to be suspicious of an overly dominant team and starts favouring the underdogs pretty quickly. Now, Rog and Pog are not the underdogs, but any team besides JV are at the moment the outsiders and no matter how rich they are. Rog and Pog are seen as natural leaders to face a more powerful enemy and that's why - if the narrative continues to gain momentum - they will posited as the ones who can save cycling from another year of utter dominance in GTs.

What do you reckon the wage bill of those poor UAE riders is? And who pays for them?

JV to Movistar. That will be a culture shock.....

I presume he doesn't have Netflix.

I have to admit the constant contradictory reports (he transferred to Ineos, Lidl & Movistar... all in one day) makes me a slightly dubious about the whole story. Like not to the point I doubt he's leaving, just an extra 0.1% on the suspicious side regarding the veracity of what's really being reported across the internet this evening.

Meanwhile the real Rogla is posting on Instagram as per usual (about his charity ride):

And he's still on the startlist for Emilia on Saturday according to PCS.

Here we have to be correct and say it out loud. That is for example a whole lot of Soudal products are made out of oil. If for example Lego would be the sponsor. They take 2 liters of oil and create one kg of plastic from it. And so on ...

Currently it's all more or less oil money.

If Lego became a sponsor, I'd be very disappointed if that didn't mean an official Lego-cycling set!
In fact, I'd personally walk to Billund to make it happen!

Or just ask my cousin, who works for Lego, if he could put a word in...

But, actually, I don't want Lego to sponsor a team. Then all the "stuff" available would be for just that team.

Yes they are definitely able to give the same support as he had at Jumbo or as what Ineos could give him.
Support will be just fine. I didn't noticed that Valverde or Quintana had bad support. Movistar was always a climbers team, a GC team, they are used to ride that way, and always have good domestiques. What they're lacking is strong leader, and Roglic is just that. Mas unfortunatelly isn't, and he too will be a great helper.
