It's not even me, 5 people are now complaining about a transcript i did from a video. So best to take it to Lance.
First off, that was a terrible transcript. In fact reading what you wrote and what was said in the video makes it even more confusing. Second, I think you misunderstood the reasoning for why Armstrong said that as well just from listening to about 3 mins around that timeframe.

Can you explain in more detail, please. The confusing, terrible and the misunderstood part.

Go back and watch the part again listening to what is said and comeback to read what you wrote. What you transcribed reads like someone who barely understands English wrote it while missing all of the meat. Like how posters who speak other languages say the meaning is lost when transcribed to English.

Second, Armstrong picked to be in Roglic’s position because Armstrong would want to show his former team up and that they screwed up. Armstrong didn’t say that because he thinks Roglic is 100-1000% better than the others like you’re trying to make it sound.

Like for example creating Team RadioShack, he wanted to show Contador up with riders brought over from Astana and say Contador won because of them, not due to Contador being better in 2009.

I think it would be tactically stupid by Bora/Vlasov to say anything different than that. More leaders, more problems for other teams to focus on.

OK i did that.

So i wrote that i was listening to The Move podcast, about 2024 season preview, and a question was asked in which position you would like to be the most, entering the 2024 season, to enjoy it most.

Sorry, but i just don't see it? The problem? How would you formulate it then? As a native speaker? Can you help me then, to improve my writing.

I see. At the and i wrote this:

And Rogla is up there. In between 100% and 1000%.

And i guess this is the part you had the most issues with? This was too much to chew on, just bone no meat? Roglič being in between 100% and 1000% "better", as you say it, compared to the others, at something.

Well, as explained earlier, to @Ilmaestro99, this was just a transcript. Other people words and opinions and not mine. And in addition the whole post had like 2 sentences in it. And it was explicitly stated, on what the question in the podcast was. So the post couldn't have applied on what you say it applied. You likely just seen the percentage and it was over ...

This is what you could have wrote:

I was listening to The Move podcast and they were previewing the 2024 Tour de France. A question was asked about which rider position you’d prefer to be in of the Big Four. Vingegaard as the two time defending champion, Pogacar to prove the last two years were a fluke due to tactical error and injury, Evenepoel as the young upstart like how Pog and Vinge were, or Roglic on a new team trying to show his old team they were wrong to give up on him and he’s not too old. Armstrong said he’d want to be in Roglic’s position 100-1000% in order to prove Jumbo wrong and to tell them to F off.

This is what you rambled off in some weird Roglic haze:

What was over was when I, like everyone else, read your ramblings and had no idea what you were talking about. Then you posted the timeframe and it all made sense, Armstrong said he’d be in Roglic’s position 100-1000% therego he is that much better is what you thought.

Actually the question was; Which of the best four entering the race is under the most pressure? Armstrong's answer was Roglic.

Where was that asked? I’ve watched from 26:00-29:30 and the question was, what position would you like to be in.

That’s what you were implying.

That is simply not true. I explicitly stated on what the question was and on where it was asked.

Exactly. And that is what i wrote. Some just seen 1000% and went ballistic ... Jumped the gun i guess. Internet does that to you, after years of abuse.

But all in all i like this approach, on where we all sit together, after reading a "book" and discuss, on how we interpreted it. Old school approach that still works wonders.

That is indeed much better @SHAD0W93. Thank you.

I did not go ballistic.

I simply asked a question as to what you meant by your unintelligible post.

And how have I abused the internet? Or it me?

I was grated with what seemed spam, lots of it. Nobody really bothering to say what have they done, so far. To understand it. So maybe some of you felt the heat for it. So i apologize for that to whomever it concerns.

This thread is not long enough, for having such discussion. In short, a couple of years back i started noticing cognitive impairment in general population. At that time i didn't connect the dots just yet. That it is basically due to screen time. In this day and age i now even see some TV shows and things like that. Where this is acknowledged as an oppressing problem. Unfortunately regardless of that Tik Tok is grinding away any remaining brain cells left. So in short, at least some of you should understand on what i was trying to say.

But i get it, maybe my brain was fried already, long ago. That is a possibility too. So all in all we will just have to cope with each other, continue the battle of stimulating the brain in some good way.

Rogla winning the Tour should help, brain fog to disappear.

Look, you have taken the deliberate choice of always writing grammatically poorly by never using subclauses in your sentences.

Then it seems fairly ridiculous that you take offense when people say they don't understand your posts from time to time.

The choices we make. Still, one good thing came out of this debate. Rogla winning the Tour should surely be mind blowing and we surely do need such events for improving our cognitive understanding of this beautiful sport.

Armstrong forgot two things of course. One, he's an idiot. Two, in this day and age everything is measured and teams know exactly what a rider is capable of. If Roglic had any chance of beating Vingegaard in a 1v1 (by which i mean assuming Vingegaard does not crash or get sick), then they would not have let him go. He was still under contract, and if they thought there was even a remote chance that he could win, knowing both riders capabilities, they would not have taken the risk. Vengeance does not magically unlock more watts that your body was otherwise unable to produce.

1. What was true for 2023 is not necessarily true for 2024
2. Extending the previous point - there is no way in hell they can say there's not a "remote chance" Roglic could win or outmatch Vingegaard in 2024.
3. There were team dynamics to consider.
4. There were budget issues to consider.

As we all know, people and organizations make mistakes. Maybe letting Roglic go was a mistake and Roglic will try to prove that. And that was Armstrong's point. Not to be too disagreeable, I'm with you on the idiot part...
