Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

He didn't just win, though, he annihilated the entire elite bar Pogacar even though he missed a turn. I think this was an absolutely insane performance, but of course it doesn't mean he'll automatically win the Tour now.
Or was he the one most desperate to make a statement here?

It is a great win, but the race overall is not won yet and that would mean more than winning the opening 12km ITT.

"Absolutely insane performance" is just not accurate nor is it fair to Roglic either.

However, hopefully it is a confidence boost and sets it up for an interesting week to see how it all unfolds.

The church of Rog is back open

Never heard of a win, fuelled by desperation. If anything, desperation is going to hamper one’s chances…

I mean it was one of the best ITT performances this year. Considering his earlier form too it’s not a stretch to label this as “insane”

Where is Rogla?

Rogla doing a reaction video on Rogla. The one he did in regards to Remco crash, one of the best poker face i ever seen, and i don't even play poker, that much.

Rogla just being Rogla.

Beautiful maiden win riding for Bora and done just the way we like it! And the mood is obviously good. Now the pressure is on Remco and Jonas, Rogla likely still having a say in it. Looking forward to that.

He's still smiling:

At this point I'm just amazed he hasn't broken anything yet (apart from the vertebrae issue a couple of years ago). I'm talking about the obvious stuff like collarbones here.

I mean people can talk about his crashes as much as they want but IMO this guy has a lucky star watching over him.

That's how I see it anyway. Maybe this will ruin his Itzulia but it doesn't look like his TdF will be impacted. That's the important part.

Nah, Tour won't be impacted unless he falls again and breaks something.

He has a quota of crashes to get out of the way each season. I hope that one was big enough to cover a few spills.

FYI (& this is a general response to all the usual stuff I'm reading on various sites) he's only talked about as a rider who 'crashes a lot' because he's also... a winner. Other riders crash all the time (like Tao GH yesterday, or David Gaudu), but nobody seems to care enough to talk about them.

And many of those other riders do actually hurt themselves pretty badly as well.

It could also be down to fall technique.

TGH got talked about a lot in the race threads whenever he crashes, just like yesterday. He just isn’t as popular or has as many like/dislike compared to a Roglic or Evenepoel so it doesn’t spill over into his (small) thread.
