Roglic fans truly are an intersection of self-hating millennials who desire only suffering and mild-mannered middle aged ladies who think he's handsome and charming. What an odd character.

You'll see someone on twitter going hammer and tongs launching to his defence and hover the profile it will be like Carol from Bristol who likes her cats and tending to her garden.
I always knew you were a fan too

This is beautiful

Okay you got me here.

As for Rogla, I'm thinking doing Algarve last month before heading to altitude might have been a really good idea, actually, i.e. it gave him race fitness (in the sense it kept him 'sharp' in the bunch) and right now in Catalunya he looks really good IMO.

Nice finish today and well played tactically. Especially that little dig at the end to make sure the Landa group didn't re-join them.

  • Ayuso Juan UAE Team Emirates-XRG + 00

Zen ciclismo!
I saw the godfather aka Giorgio Armani of cycling won a stage, Abi. Love to see it.

Roglic rode great, gave just enough. Guy talks future even at the finish line, makes statements like everything he does is a building block for something bigger, better ,long term. He looked great side by side to other excellent riders. In same camera shot he came off as twitchy compared with Ayuso. Definitely confident.. He wins style points even if he doesn't win the race.

So it looks like we’re in for one more season, fellow Rogla fans! Each year at the beginning of a season I’m fearfully wondering if that’s the one where he does a Froome on a cat 2 climb in the middle of the stage 😁 Not today! This guy is amazing for his age and if he pulls of the Giro, he will be the oldest Giro winner ever.

I still have a feeling he can show us a lot more. He had so many crashes in those 5 years and was always racing GTs with injury before or middle of the GT. Never fully healthy. He just need one year without crashes and he would shine.

His stage 2 crash was the only thing that bothered him in the 2023 Vuelta?

So, other than the cool Rogla El Patron moment today, this race is now a bit of a bust.

So onto Montjuïc... can he do it? Evenepoel couldn't get separation from Rog 2 years ago... can Rog get separation from Ayuso?
