So lets indeed see if Bora with Rogla or Visma with Jonas, on who has the better numbers

Straight up trying to beat Jonas with number over three weeks, seems rather optimistic bordering naive, taking the last two seasons into account.

The things Rogla has going for him compared to Pogi is better race smarts and better staying power over three weeks(maybe).

It's very easy to end up looking the fool when trying to predict cycling, but In my opinion Roglic needs a little rocket science to crack the TdF.

I hope he wins a one week against Jonas, to boost things up before the big battle.

Well I put the maybe there for a reason. It's more a gut feeling seen over the last two years. I just think he will waste less energy.

In my opinion Roglič is more then good enough to beat Jonas. So overthinking it in my opinion isn't really needed. Things like prepare good, good support, analysing and preparing for the stages, tactics, nutritions, equipment, team morale ... Obviously here is where the work needs to be done. But still not to complicate to the extent nobody will really understand it. Trust must be established in between all parties involved and then each party to do their part good.

As for last two seasons at the Tour. Rogla really didn't compete there, to win. Vuelta 2023 is better sample. And at Vuelta 2023 i didn't see anything out of the ordinary. That is for Roglič not being able to cope.

Thinking of Roglic's history with GT's and ITT's, how much time will he need to be ahead of all the other GC guys before the last ITT in Nice? Or would it be better if he was only a handfull of seconds down in 2nd place?

At the foremost Rogla shouldn't lose time over the whole duration of the Tour. That will likely be the main goal. As for the last ITT. It's suitable one, for the Olympic champion.

Actually Remco could be a good launch for Roglic if the other two waste any energy attacking; particularly if Jonas got separated from JV support. There's alot of firepower here if they all become aggressive and I doubt JV could cover every moment.
Predicting that opportunity would be hard but if Remco and Roglic find one, it'll be entertaining. Maybe not 3 week-smart but entertaining for those that crave chaos.

Rogla realized that the best way for him to ride really fast was to ride in British Racing Green, his helmet needs a paint job.

Pogacar looked unbeatable, then came Vingegaard. Now Vingegaard appears unbeatable, so that’s Roglic „chance“.

Primoz hasn‘t won a TdF yet, so Primoz and Remco will certainly be this certain 1% hungrier than Pog and Vinge, already TdF winners.

2024 and 2025 offer great chances for Roglic to finally win the Tour. I‘m really optimistic.

Anyways, it will be great for us, as fans. Pog, Rog, Remco, Vingegaard. That is as if there would be four versions of Lance Armstrong, would be racing against each other. Just really, really promising, next July.

And lets not forget Rogla is the best stage racer. So the usual applies, prepare well, focus, team should do a good job, then lets just race.

In hindsight the Tour for Vingegaard was won when Pogi broke his wrist in LBL. Lack of baseline preparation dictated his mega-bonk in Col de la Loze. The TT was a masterful display of power though. So although Pogacar lost again, there are arguments to consider that a suboptimal preparation (Tour 2023) and overestimating his abilities (Tour 2022) played a role in his demise. Vingo also lost the TT in La Vuelta 2023 and that's when other factors come into the anaylis for justifying the "anomaly".

All things considered, the chance of an optimal preparation (no crashes, no illness) leading to the Tour and a Tour where no randomness decides rankings and it can be argued that Vingo, Roglic and Pogacar can hope to win it. Remco also, but for now even the most hardcore of his fans would dare asserting that he will.

Nah. Rogla can crack Jonas. At Vuelta Jonas had Rogla sitting back in the bunch, while attacking. Such luxury doesn't exist any more. Rogla will keep Jonas much closer and Bora will help him with that.

Well, about that. I heard enough last pre season. About Rogla and Remco. But note that i am not trying to diminish Remco here. I even said it last pre season. That Rogla is underestimated and Remco will likely get burned. His chances with Pogi and Jonas were not worse.

But yeah, we all are looking forward to the Tour. Should be majestic this year. The already famous 111th edition of Tour de France!
