Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

It would be great to see Rogla get a taste for annihilating everyone and keep doing it even when he doesn’t need to. Maybe… nothing would surprise me with this guy…
The remaining stages include 15,16, 20 and the TT. All are ripe for major gains and losses for anyone lacking recovery for even part of a stage. What we saw with Mas today was more him finding his limit against Roglic's, for today. We've seen him gain that minute in one climb and could again if Roglic, Landa or their teams don't meter out the efforts and very sorry to keep singing that same song.
I'd love to see him go beserk on one stage to prove how much damage he could do but he's shown he can do plenty in 4km. Doing the same controlled domination in 3 of those stages puts him in his own universe for the TT and would be equally dominant, IMO. There's only one other rider this year that could do that.

Beautiful stage, stuff tears are made of, tears of happiness and joy. First glimpse of the bullies mountain train and then again Rogla killing them softly with his legs. Today not that softly, bodies all up the hill, Rogla leading the pack. I don't remember when was the last time Rogla grinded the opponents like he is doing at this race. Still, confidence is not there just yet, that is on why the team didn't went for a stage win today. Rogla setting up the profile on his cycling computer, as some visual aid, although he seen the peak anyway, then working hard in the office, rush hour!

The thing i am most impressed about is Rogla adopted or better adapted to the modern style of racing, burn the team early and mid to long range attack is to follow, something still left in the tank for the stomp. I fear for the competition on Sunday, Rogla have mercy on them and please crush them early.

Boring but likely guess is just wait for the final 3km.

It would get more interesting if he decides he wants to win the stage, but I actually wouldn't be surprised if they just keep doing this and the breakaways win all remaining mountain stages.
Yeah, I also prefer the Pogacar way tbh. But if you don't have the team, what can you do. Races are there to be won, but the Sky way isn't it to me.

The "real" reason he lost the Tour in 2020!

Aw, I was going to post that. Too bad it wasn't caught on camera that he gave Asgreen a knuckle when he passed him yesterday.

And way too bad that Jesper translates knuckle to 'knokle' in Danish. I might need an eye doctor now.

Is Roglič better entertainer in your eyes than Pogačar? Pogačar maybe plans to entertain viewers, but Roglič is doing it spontaneously. Like, saying to a male fan "I love you".
I do not really care much for the "I love you too"'s but, on the bike, Rogla is pretty much what cycling is all about (at least for me). The ups and downs and everything that comes with it. Pog is just meh, kinda robotic, uninspiring...

Robotic is a guy who always does the same racing program, always has the same racing style, same behaviour on and off the bike. Vingegaard is clearly the robotic one if we look to Big 6 of cycling.
Even Vingo's mother does not like him, so he is not even in the discussion. But Pog is just uninspiring and does not bring out any emotion in me as a fan. I do not feel involved when watching him. Rog is just the opposite.

Well this is all very subjective isn't it? I think Pog is a charming guy. But when I felt the most symphathy for him, was wen he cracked ... "I'm gone, I'm dead". The superhuman performances are a bit boring.

This is where I agree and also the reason, why I'm a Roglic fan. It's these ups and downs, never knowing what is going to happen. The rollercoaster ride makes it fun and much more involving.

You really should enjoy the show while it lasts. Once in a generation talent at least. But also, imagine if it was just Jonas at the tour? At least we have a race each July.
I dont really get the Entertainment of admiring generational Talents in cycling. I agree pogi is a Landslide more entertaining then the skytrain and the July Battles with vinge were great, but Like they say: attacking is easy If you are Just stronger and that was all there was this season. Not boring, but gets old. A generational Talent like Federer in Tennis, Messi in football can be admired because they do beautiful things, in cycling thats not really the case. Entertainment value lies in no small part in outsuffering others and overcoming adversity like someone in the clinic pointed out, and pogi didnt seem to suffer once this year.
