Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

Where do you think Roglic would be able to get the 12 wins? How many stages in each race he's doing?

Many many stages involved in the 2025 season, hopefully 6 at Giro alone. But as Nibali seem to suggest, drop the hammer at ITTs and do nothing else, that strategy (if selected) could go against high number of wins.

I feel that respecting and trying to win the Giro, that is a priority, races prior to Giro, here it's mostly about some fun and prestige anyway, beating Jonas.

He is getting older. He will only do one race without any guy from the big 4.

If we look at the biological age then Rogla is a year older, each year. If we try to predict, on how season 2025 will look like, then we can say it will likely look better then season 2023, due to leadership position being sorted out inside the team and it will likely look better then 2024 season, due to season 2024 being a transitional season. Now IMHO both seasons 2023 and 2024 still being rather good.

Expecting 6 in the Giro is crazy to me

I mean guys, season 2023 came down to 15 wins and season 2024 came down to 8 wins and neither can be considered Rogla being at full capacity in terms of health or full team support. One part is sorted out and fingers crossed the health situation to be favourable. In that case a 100 is on the radar and just imagine still being that good, at 100.

In each pre season discussion there seems to be such agreement about this things, reality being Rogla rarely wins only 6 times per season.

  • 2024 (8)
  • 2023 (15)
  • 2022 (5)
  • 2021 (13)
  • 2020 (12)
  • 2019 (13)
  • 2018 (8)
  • 2017 (6)
  • 2016 (2)
  • 2015 (5)
  • 2014 (2)
  • 2013 (0)
So predicting 6 wins is IMHO a rather conservative prediction. As for winning Tour and Worlds RR, lets do Giro first. And in pre Giro races some predict Rogla doesn't stand a chance against Jonas, especially as Jonas has Sepp by his side, so lets see how that goes first, Tour and the rest to only come after!

In the realm of cycling, where every second counts, how far is too far when it comes to bike modifications? Should cyclists prioritize performance enhancements that may bend the rules of fair play, or does this undermine the spirit of the sport? What are the implications for both the individual and the community?

Likely this was intended to go in some other thread, in short top cyclists often change a bike and it doesn't seem to affect their performance. As for wealthier teams to have access to better materials. That is true and likely to an extent it will always be like that. Unless cyclists and their teams would be forced to use the same model.

He won 8 when 7 of those wins came in Dauphiné and Vuelta. Both races didn't have any big4 rider

Roglic can win way more this year, because he recently created a weapon called "long range defence", something super innovative.

With long range defence the idea is not to win much, only the important things. I feel that Rogla demonstrated at Vuelta 2024 already, that some tools in his toolbox include unleashing total HAVOC. Pogi, Jonas and Remco get massively praised for it, for Rogla, no biggie. Comes with the age.

Who are his biggest rivals at the giro?
Who are the leaders from uae?
If he doesnt crash, grand tour win number 6 is coming.
4 vuelta and 2 giro wins doesnt sound bad.
After that just have fun at the tour de france without pressure.
