Look anyone who thinks Roglic can take on Pogacar in a race like Romandie is just delulu at this point, doesn't matter how tired Pogacar is after a full spring schedule. If anything Romandie after an all-monument spring is completely taking the piss IMO.

And with the amount they've dodged each other, I believe 100% they actually communicate about schedule and Roglic having a pretty strong preference for not racing against Pogacar when he doesn't have to.

do you think the TdSuisse owners made a few phone calls to Gianetti to have Pog at their 5-day race?

I don't think it's that simple, but I would assume it's not abnormal to be in contact with agents of riders and to figure out if there's an interest in riding the race and if it could be facilitated.

I don't think it's like "Gianetti here's a bag of money go make it happen"

Apparently they really do communicate about this, it was said on one of Slovenian forums

I'm pretty sure Roglic said something like it a few years ago how it's better to not race each other.

It's part of the reason why this idea that they hated each other was alway really weird to me.

I definitely don’t see any evidence they hate each other, but I do think Pogi is very determined to erase everyone else and stand alone in history. They’re professional athletes in a competitive sport, so makes sense. I’m not at all criticizing that. But Roglic’s paternal instincts in 2020 earned him nothing in return IMO and were very misguided. And I wish Pogi hadn’t decided that this year of all years was the year to try Suisse…

I’m pretty confident I can name a poster who probably thinks that 😁

Rogla was pretty clear last year when asked which races he would do: "Those Tadej doesn't". What looked like a joke likely has some truth in it.

I for one hope he gets Suisse ticked off next year. Im just happy that, allegedly, this doesn’t appear to be his last season. Roglic is a legend in every sense. While he’s not my cup of tea, I think everyone can draw inspiration from the way he deals with adversity. More Roglic might be the best news from this schedule announcement off-season.

Pogi will do the Suisse

With Romandie in the schedule too I think UAE have never really signalled this hard the Vuelta isn't in the plans.
Yeah, but I still think that if he's as knackered as he was last year (TDF 2025) he isn't doing the Vuelta. But UAE are trying all in their power to make sure he isn't too tired after the TDF.

Im a Primoz mega fan but to be honest for 2025 Rogla is not good, very hard for him, a *** but explosive parcours like 2025 Vuelta would have been better.

He will need to rediscover 2023 level or at least 2024 Vuelta shape to be the favourite versus Almeida and company… Seems complicated but still believe he can.

Obviously this if Tadej doesn’t show up.

It's not like 2025 was a year that represents Roglic. He had another year of tough luck
At 36, there aren't just years, more probably beginning of a decline.

In any case, in 2023, Roglic was at his best autumn after Kuss's Vuelta, while Pogacar was at his worst autumn, and he beat Roglic in Lombardy. In a tough race, I don't give him any chance against Pogacar even though Pogacar isn't in his best form. But Pogacar won't be going
