Oh ya I know...I agree with you.

This. I love the fact that he isn't afraid to attack the other "big" names. It has given him some very nice stage victories.

Yep - he's predatory…he looks for opportunities to attack and try things and find weaknesses. I like people who seek out chinks and try, try, try.

Our man is here in SF Cal. Maybe he went for a visit after doing some testing in Specialized Morgan Hill wind tunnel. He is already prepairing for the TT in Giro.

Aru would like to ride the Tour with Nibali after the Giro, but in a recent interview Martinelli said that his 2 main wishes for the season would be Nibali rewinning the TdF and Aru winning the Vuelta, because he has never won the Vuelta as a DS.
Aru already looked pretty lean at the team presentation today:

Surely the plan must be to win the Giro.
We need serious ambitions from the top contenders please.

Uran, Porte and obviously Contador will ride the Giro to win. And the Giro almost always gets one rider in the top 5 who no one really thought about before (Hesjedal, De Gendt, Gadret, Arroyo, to name just a few since 2010). I think it will be an interesting race no matter what Aru will do.

No way in hell Porte or Uran will be of any threat to AC in the giro. Aru is the only one with a slight chance of making the mountains interesting solely becasue he has improved alot every year so far as a pro, and he might have taken it to yet another level this year.

Aru and AC dancing up the mountains togheter would be awesome :):)

Aru is my favourite for 2nd place, but with that route I don't think there's much between him, Lil' Ritchie & Duran Duran.

I think Aru can make the high mountains more fun than a race where Uran and Porte takes 30 sec on AC in a long tt and AC takes 8 min on every mtf stage, simply because I think he will be able to match AC atleast to such an extent that AC wouldn't drop him too often simply becasue he would have to focus on saving himself for the tour as well, and he'll know he would take 2-3 min on Aru in the tt.
Arus punch in the last km will hopefully give AC some trouble on a stge or 2

I'm not hopeful for a very entertaining race when it comes to 1st in the gc though

I wonder if he takes another step forward this year, 3rd and 5th in GT's is phenomanal and i see no reason why he does not improve he looks a superstar to me. Aru and Quintana are the future imo.

He can perhaps top-5, but he is a class under the others. I know Porte probably will fail, but he still has a much bigger chance to podium than K?nig.

I won't be so sure about this. Look how K?nig performed in his first GT's with small team with low budget, without Sky's miraculous training regime. There's a chance that he can get better, or even much better. His TdF TT shows that he might be comparable TTist (with Sky's material an TT training). I'm not saying he has bigger or smaller chances, but if it's true what you say and Porte will probably fail than I don't quite get you saying he has much bigger chance to podium.

Because Porte has the top-level required to do so. K?nig doesn't. Aru and Uran are both way ahead of him.
