Well this is interesting. The Dutch commentator just said that the Brazilian ref earlier this year served a 6 week suspension from competition for "corruption"

But now he's here?!?

It's FIFA, I wouldn't expect anything less. The corruption that goes on in FIFA backrooms has been the font of inspiration for at least a few books. Why the CONCACAF mafia don that is Jack Warner has been accused on a few occasions for trying to skirt the better part of the law.

I think I heard that maradona has tried something like a hundred different players since he took over the team. Can that be correct!? I'm not sure he knows what he's doing, but I do think Argentina will win this year.

105 I believe. Not sure. However, his first 11 was quite settled and played a lot.....until today.

needs more width and more pace from the americans or they are doomed..

Their two midfielders need to get more involved. And their wingers need to pick up the english fullbacks instead of leisurely sitting around looking. Cole have acres of space right now.

Quick, get Pepe Reina a british passport :p

Manuel Almunia can actually play for England these days... Don't know why they don't get him. He's better than this trash they have now.

EDIT: See Dim beat me too it. Shucks :p

Joe Hart is the best English keeper, I'm not surprised to see a blunder like that by green.

USA kicking *** at the tennis at queens and now this because of a rubbish goalkeeper..

On the balance of things the US has better team in the 1st half

Very true.

Btw.: According to German TV there is a French guy by the name of Géra playing for England and supposably Liverpool.
Do you know anything about him? Will Almunia be the next foreign player for England?

Ummm... There's a player called Zoltan Gera.... But he's Hungarian (and plays for them internationally) and is currently at Fulham
