I've still got my dinero on Higuain, or maybe Forlan if Uruguay manage to stay in the tournament for a while.

Dont know about Forlan. they wont face any easy teams and he scores most of his goals from 30 yards out. Higuain has scored 3 tap ins against South Korea. Maybe he can keep it going. Luis Fabiono perhaps.

Also the whole Portugal team is on 1 goal now:D So if any decide to start firing perhaps they could challenge.

david villa for golden boot.

We'll see if he doesn't get banned afterall for his slapping of the Hondurian player.
Depands if the ref saw it or not. And probably if the FIFA likes the idea or not.

i thought so too when i saw it

then at half time the honduran player was trying to make nice with villa but villa was having none of that and refused to. I thought that was a pretty unclassy way to act though i didnt see the whole story so maybe the honduran did something bad off camera (like telling villa that his mom was a terrorist ala materazi:D)

Actually, what I recently heard is that Materazzi told Zidane that he was phyically incapable of satifying his wife (so to say ) and that while he was at Juvetus Lippi took the role of 'Zidane's-wife-pleasurer' upon himself. Lippi of course was the manager who brought Zidane to Juventus, and also the Italy manager at the time of the incident. So basically he questioned his masculinity and said that the coach fucked his wife. As far as insults go that one was pretty solid.

Where did you get that one from?
Never heard about it before. As something would explain the reaction ,it might also be a theory by people who simply like the idea that Zidane couldn't please his wife...

Your probably right. I last heard of this incident the day after it took place and i remember they said that materazi might have insulted zidanes algerian background by saying his mom was a terrorist. Either way those of us who did not want France to win thoroughly enjoyed that moment.

Am i right to assume that includes you Moondance as you said it would be sweet for France to exit this tournament and you are from western europe which makes your chances of disliking france "very probable", as opposed to "probable" in central europe and north america, "likely" in latin america and asia, and "virtual certainty" in africa.

Too bad Mexico and Uruguay are trying their best not to score =/

Im guessing your being sarcastic, but just in case your not:

On the contrary, its been a very good game. Guardado had a 40 yard beauty hit the underside of the bar. Both teams going at it.

I'm trying to find a stream, I was just assuming the obvious.

I really don't think it's very smart of them to try and score :)

Commentator is saying it now: They haven't shown signs of trying to keep it at 0-0, but if they don't score soon that moment is bound to come.
