I don't think it was a foul, he was looking for the penalty, pretty much threw himself into puyol's leg.
If it was a foul, it was no way a red. no way.
1. It was malicious
2. Wasn't really the last man.

I hear ya. Will be a really tough game, but I think we can win. Will be very tough and tense though.

Well, thats not criteria for an automatic red. The player needs to be in the clear, past the defenders. Clearly not the case.

It was certainly a foul, probably a yellow... But a straight red, no way.[/QUOTE

In our league the ref would have given it as a red (well at least if it was against manchester united).

Not a chance now.

Congrats on the world title to many different bordering regions in the south of Europe.

Perfect tactics by Moondance and ak-zaaf. They've worked for the entire tournament, so why not now.

:D

It's gonna be heart breaking if we fail.

But honestly, Germany were poor today, and allowed spain to play on the front foot.

Yes :p

Thats what I'm hoping for. My pick of Germany earlier today only confirms this tactic should be followed.

Not me but others. I can handle the heat. I live in a HOT country.

I don't do HOT, as in weather.

I hear different things about Colorado. Good altitude backed by the weather this time of year. How many Triathletes are flocking there right now? A lot I bet. Heck, Lance spent some time there with Bottle before last years Tour. Much better place to be IMO.

athletes, fuk TRI's. i tried uhmmmm IRONMAN, boring we all did it just for the FOURTH event and the ocean. road and run course sucks HOT. heck, LANCE moved into my neighborhood of 40 years with his damn black money. NOT A FAN of LA. he should go back to TEXAS, leave colorado alone.
CAUSE COLORADO ROCKS big big and beautiful.

So I've heard. Colorado and ROCKS. Might have something to do with a big training base for cyclists and other endurance athletes being named "Boulder." A boulder is a type of rock.

Great game. Poor Germany. Maybe they did miss Muller. Wow, Pedro must been hitting himself in the head in the dugouts after the game. Torres was wide open and he did not pass. Silly.

Spain really did have Germany's number. Germany's game had little flow to it. Not surprised they struggled when that occurred. Oh well, at least they have a young team. No shame in losing to Spain, as until this loss they had beaten some decent teams.

I really do not know what to expect from this next match. Should be good. Good to see some of the Dutch are keeping their optimism here along the same lines they've done so far. Bluff and predict the worse. It's worked well so far.

Hmm... Chris Anker wrote on his blog that Karsten Kroon had said that he'd wear a pair of rather... orange... sunglasses on the stage after the final if Netherland won... so... I kinda want Netherland to win, for that spectacle...

Yes, I've seen the sunglasses in question... They are rather ridiculous...

Spain were the better team. The Germans looked tired and without Muller their attack is weak. Ramos should have been off in the first half for the stamp and the foul at the edge of the penalty area, but referees have been helping them the whole tournament.
Hopefully the Dutch will win it.

Is he injured?

I've made a mistake of discounting Klose in the past, but there's still a game to go you know.

Yep, big training base for cyclists, understatement. just moved down here and love it. B O U L D E R ROCKS, with lots of flat irons.

Aiii... Don't think so. It was during a short TV interview they showed before the stage 3 coverage which was taped during the morning signing in.... I'll try and see if I can find the clip online, but I aint hopeful.

That sucked so much. If Spain win, I think they'll be the WC-winning team who have played the worst. France 98 & Italy 06 are up there (don't know much pre-1970 though.

I will honestly cry if the Netherlands don't win on Sunday. Gonna be the most nerve-wracking sporting event I've ever seen. 4th WC I've supported them at, God I hope they win.

Too bad... then I guess Netherland just have to win...

(And somewhere in France Karsten Kroon hopes they will lose so he doesn't have to make a fool out of himself...)

Because the Netherlands have played so well? Maybe the Dutch goals have had slightly more flair than those of the Spanish, but I don't really think you can say that Spain played badly vs. Germany.
