The Greek squad resemble their economy... Why did I get up to watch this game again at approx 7:30 am?

couple of nice breaks for the Koreans though, sweet pass that was subsequently completely wasted by the striker.

It could be worse... you could be at work at 10.20pm on a Sat night!

But yes... Greece look terrible....

I hope it's not... or they'll take the other European teams down with them.

More importantly: how did Greece manage to qualify?

They had by far the easiest qualifying group; Switzerland, Israel, Luxembourg, Latvia and Moldova. They still finished 2nd behind the Swiss and then won a play-off spot aginast the Ukrainians in what I assume were the 180 most boring minutes of football ever played.

WAIT! So in response to produce next to nothing offensively in the 1st half the Greeks respond by taking off their captain and a 'creative' attacking midfielder and put in a defensive midfielder?!?!? No ambition whatsoever there

I bet they have 22 players in the books, but in reality they only have 12 on the bench.

Can we see another goal for Korea?

The way the greeks are looking right now their match against Argentina could crown the best goalscorer of the tournement.
Actually it would be a bit embarrassing for South Korea not to score 1-2 more goals.

I wasn't expecting this current score, but Korea has indeed developed incredibly over the last couple years-the question now is how Argentina & Nigeria are going to approach their game to them-looks like they are a force to be reckoned with!!

It's not South Korea who are incredibly strong, it's Greece who are incredibly weak.

It'll be quite interesting to see how Nigeria are playing.
South Korea and Greece don't look like awfully strong opponents for anybody.

Wow... That 81st minute corner by the Greek was absolutely pathetic. Its like these guys have no idea what tactics are.

I will say that from what I've seen so far, the reffing in this WC has been excelent so far. Matbe that's partially the results that the refs for these first few games have come from, shall we say, smaller footballing nations (Uzbekistan, Japan, New Zealand) rather than the 'traditional' nattions where reffing is intensely followed and often politicized.

Tatics? You mean chipping the ball backwards for 90 minutes is not the only tatic in soccer?

Next time you come here to "post what you want because it's a forum and you can do what you want" I'll be giving you the same treatment as other trolls.

You'll be going on a 7 day vacation.

A couple of snide remarks is not a problem. Continuing to bait is another.

At least you acknowledged my excellent baiting. Point taken. Nver said I could do what I want but i know my rights and my right is that I can post my opinion about things on here about soccer. It may be easy to target me out with your "moderating" because I choose to have a difference of opinion with others.

Susan has agreed with me that some of your modearting has not been that great and if you unfairly treat me I will be going straght to Benson or Susan.

Those two need to keep their "dogs" on a leash.

Sigh.... Juan Sebastian Veron....

There is no reason, NOT A SIGNLE ONE, why Esteban Cambiasso shouldn't be there instead. At least Maradona isn't ignoring Higuain anymore.
