I'm just looking at the tiebreak list again. How can you have head-to-head so far down the list? That should be first! Seems simple to me - if two teams are tied, the one who won their head to head match should advance. Can someone explain to me why this isn't the case?

If it weren't for Bradley, I doubt USA would have been in a position to win in the first place. He played a very good game.

We watched two different games then. Sure he had a few good moments, but his bad moments more than destroyed the good he did. That last turn-over is unbelievable. All that motherfu*ker has to do is kick it to a fu*king corner like you tell 10 year olds.

The group coul very well in a heartbreak for the USA. If they loose and Ghana win depending on the exact results they are out. That's not an unrealistic scenario at all.

Klinsman doesn't need to agree on ****. Germany's goal difference is so good that they are through in all but name. They can lose, even lose comfortably and they'll still be through.

Why take chances. But as I said it would be impossible anyways to not make it obvious.

I get your frustration, for him I just hope he didn't throw the tournament away with that.

Who got the MotM award btw.?

Well I watched a game in which I was a neutral, dispassionate observer. ;)

I was watching Bradley specifically throughout the game because of how badly he played against Ghana, and he had some terrible plays. Along with that, when he turned over the ball at the end of the game, he gave chase for less than a second and then pulled-up. You weren't watching as closely as I was.;)

I agree Bradley didn't play well against Ghana and said so up thread at the time but today he was much more prominent and got into positions in between the Portuguese midfield and backline. There's a reason why Bento brought in a defensive minded midfielder in William at half-time and it was to stop Bradley's influence in this area of the pitch as well as Jones coming from a deeper area.

Bradley should still be playing in Europe. I agree with his father Bob too, Arsenal would have been much better off signing him on short term loan deal than Kallstrom.

Better for who? Seems Arsenal didn't agree.

Bradley DID kick the ball into a defender while Beto was on the ground, so despite his contribution in pressure, that may be the narrative of his performance in the match.

Which was ludicrous on their part considering Kallstrom was injured when he arrived. Kallstrom's legs are gone and he wasn't even a regular at Spartak. It has come out since Bradley was one of the players Arsenal considered for such a deal. He wanted to come too.

Belgium have not impressed me at all in the 2 games of seen of them, however they are into the last 16 and winning when not playing well isn't exactly a bad thing to do.

Is this the same Belgium that some have been saying through the qualifiers are the dark horses of the World Cup ?

Capello must be the most overrated coach in the World. All of his recent teams were pretty ****e and he certainly reaped the benefits of Sacchi's work at Milan.

Belgium have been pretty boring too. Can't help but think that a more attck minded coach than Wilmots would have done much better with the talnet available.

And really hope that USA can send Christina and her team packing !

Yes, he inherited the team from Sacchi but he perfected them, his tactics have always been too rigid for some but he did pretty well at Roma and Juventus too.... and he won with real madrid with a style that was not exactly attack minded which was not good enough for the madrid faithful(2nd spell), but i don't think he is a good fit for a role as a manager of a country, he should stick to club football, he can't even speak russian lol

Thats because theyve been given the most joke group and the easiest stadium arrangments.

The best team in Groupd H is worse than the worst team in Group G.

Ghana Portugal and US are going to fight it out in the Amazon for that 2nd group D place while Belgium can rest their starters in the cool South against the worst team in the competition.

I think Wilmots won't bench his key players for fear they will die of boredom from watching their colleagues play.

Italy will likely play with 3-5-2 tomm with immobile and super mario upfront. Verratti will come back.
