Street-Kids in Brazil are killed deliberately because they would "disturb" the Cup. Reminds me of when in SA ghettos were burned down because of the WC.

http://deutsche-wirtschafts-nachric...-bild-der-wm-und-verschwinden/comment-page-2/

Yeah, Fifa is for fair play and says no to racism, wants to brainwash everybody into political correct soccer fans. What phucking hypocrites.
Their fair play means money to their pockets solely. No racsism means, no racism to their monopoly game.
Wow! This organisation is almost as bad as USA imperialists for example. Wherever they go, they leave scorched earth, collect all the money, and blackmail hosts into tax exemption for them (they even did that trick in Germany, a so-called democracy). Fifa forces their own made rules into the taxpayers of the countries who built the (later useless) stadiums & infrastructure. But later they can´t afford the tickets. They force their rules with the help of the host police/army (like in Brazil now)!

Really guys, if you have to watch those games out of addiction, ok. But boycott all Fifa sponsors like Adidas, Coca Cola, and more... Never pay any pay per view for this mobsters.

UCI and McQuaid were angels in comparison. NFL owners are angels too, if you compare. No one gets as low as Fifa and IOC comes it to "sports" organisations... Actually Blatter, Beckenbauer (yes even this guy, who brought the Cup to Germany on the back of us taxpayers. He shall burn in hell too.), Warner, and else belong to prison...

There was a time players were heroes, because they played a game. Then some turned into corrupt and greedy functionaries like Hoeneß, Beckenbauer, Ronaldo, and even the greatest of all time couldn´t withstand: Pele going into politics. Awful.

Edit: Have read somewhere these days, that the protesters won´t stop until at least one game has to be cancelled. I wish them all the best. And if I would believe in any church, I´d even pray for them to succeed.

I think he got almost all-in. It would rate his comedy B-
1.) Because he missed out to mention the countless fixing scandals that Fifa doesn´t care about.
2.) He missed out on the neanderthals rules that badly influence game outcomes.
3.) It is a little disturbing that after all he still calls himself a soccer fan, being happy the WC is coming up done the Fifa way. I mean addiction doesn´t force you to be a fan. Heroin users are certainly no fans of their addiction either.
4.) It´s official that Qatar indeed bought the votes to host the WC. Ok, may can´t blame him for that miss. May it indeed came out after his TV show...

After all, I stay with cycling and NFL. Spoiled too, but not that dirty. Not even close...

I follow him on being a soccer fan. Me myself, I love the game. I do hate Fifa, but my love for the game is still stronger.

That looks really strange. How is this supposed to work out exactly? Are Veratti and Marchisio supposed to provide any width or is that supposed to be done by the Full backs? I'm really puzzled what kind of tactics this is supposed to be.

Yea, it is strange, before the world cup they were practicing three formations namely 4-3-1-2, 4-5-1 leh 3-5-2 and Prandelli said 4-3-3 wasn't out of the options too. But Rai reporter said the above strange formations might be in used.

There was a running gag in a British comedy series in which a man at a dinner party, who claimed he knew the rules of football, was challenged to describe the off-side rule....

Comedy imo more like an e- for me. Pretty obvious jokes, mostly lame and the fake ott acting next to a picture doesn't do it for me. Neither does the joke every second format. Jokes are best imo when they complement the serious points and happen once in a while. Not when the serious points are tailored to fit the jokes, and jokes are forced no matter if funny or not.

Each his own though of course.

Piece did manage to turn me against qatar world cup though.

Thus far I supported it because
a) i consider it extremely arrogant on Europe's part that they think all International Football events should be tailored to their own leagues and schedules
b) I consider it hypocritical for everyone to suddenly moan about bribery when bribery and cheating has been at the heart of football since forever and Qatar are hardly the first country to bribe for a world cup
c) I want to see a football world cup in really hot temperatures. Cyclists and marathon runners have to deal with those temperatures. NFL teams can go from 30 degrees in South Beach one week, to -40 snow storms in Green Bay the next. 50 is a bit much yest but if held in the afternoon, with some aircon systems etc, 30-35 is perfectly doable for football's prima donas.

But, learning that 4000 people will die in the construction of the world cup, and the slave labour that goes on there, overrides all these easily.

Well I am not whining, just point out of what´s going on. People suffering that some decadent western fans can watch that Fifa farce... If you wanna see whining (which you certainly do as a clinic regular), watch out the Froome threads when he´s climbing to stage wins. That is whining. He doesn´t hurt anybody, but the feelings of some. No more, no less. Still nobody says a word.

But complainings come up when I have a few negative posts about real gangsters, political correct stupitidy, and name black bobsleding female athlets... well black bobsleding female athlets.

So what is your problem exactly?

Finally, as you know from reading here: I will get on some drinking bouts when Germany takes the field. If they win or lose, one thing is for sure; some crazy parties. The game will just run on a TV. BTW; no Bud beer (or Becks etc.). Only local ones from non Anheuser Busch breweries. :)

If its something like

-------------------De Rossi--------------------
Candreva----Pirlo----------Verratti----------Marchisio
-------------------Balotelli--------------------------

It might work.

I think the biggest question for Italy is, do they play with 1 or 2 strikers? Obviously they should play some ultra-central approach since they have so many strong midfielders and dont really have any good wingers/full backs. But if you play like this, then Balotelli better be in really great shape if its going to work.

Prandelli doesnt think Super Mario and Immobile are suited to playing together and he also says in Corriere dello Sport that if people dont have a clue about their plan re: formations etc then they are on the right track. :)

I don't have a problem but it is just funny seeing you all the time not whinning but pointing facts about FIFA that everyone who post here in this thread will know by the way your complaints about German squad was enlightening..more power to you. About the female bobsleding woman.....this is not the thread for me to answer so i will send a pm.

There you see how difficult soccer rules are... And people complain about NFL rules. :p

OK expert, here we go: I am the above mentioned idiot asking you to explain;
Player A shoots from a non offside position. Ball hits the goal post, and rebounds. Player B gets the rebound (he stood in (passive) offside when A shot the goal post). Then Player B shots (after gaining possesion of the rebounded ball) a goal from a now non offside position.
Goal or not?
I mean should be easy, right? Soccer rules are simple, that makes the game so popular. That is the reason rules are still more or less the same as in 1930...

It actually is easy. It is NOT a valid goal.If player B stood in offside at the moment of the first shot, his position becomes active offside the moment he even tries to get the rebound.

If everybody would know those facts, I would not feel to have to talk about it. But reality is: Most people have no idea about the dirtiness of soccer. At least in Germany, cycling is the bad and ugly, while soccer is praised. If the majority would know the dirty facts, such absurd double standards would not be reality.

And you (next to others) shall admit, you blamed me for some not so political correct postings. The black-bobsleding-lady-post for example (BTW, one stunning cutie). Anyway, peace...

Plausible, and agree. From A to Z.

I gave a B-, because he managed to bring everything on the table in 13 minutes. Quite an accomplishement. Even though I laughed only three times.

Didn´t know about the slaves working to built stadiums for millionaires playing a game in hot temperatures since just some weeks ago. That´s a new low point for Fifa. And I thought it can´t get any lower than SA 2010...

As you said, NFL players are forced to play in every weather (only exception: Lightning). Giving it all without behaving like cry babies after fouls or the non occurence of it (like in soccer). I mean people who earn up to 1.500 times of western construction workers simply have no right to whine about weather...

It's a well known thing. This happens not only in Qatar. I saw a good documentary about it when Hollande visited the United Arab Emirates.

Eshnar is right. 100%.

Yep. Goal didn´t count. I played the game, I studied it, and I thought I know it... until that moment Völler´s goal was not given. Back then I was pretty much pi$$ed.
BTW, even the german commentator was surprised back then, to put it mildly.
Anyway, try to explain this to Alpe or other US guys... They would just say "Nah.. not my game. Football and Baseball is easier". I would agree on that. :)

but somehow your tone scares me now :D

Don´t mind. I am not the only one getting a little bit off in the forum... I simply can´t stand double standards. It goes against everything in me...
Anyway, everything cool.

BRA 1, CRO 0

I go with history here (what else can we do ;)). Most op. games ended 1-0

Edit: I need it more precise. 58th minute penalty kick by the guy who normally shoots them for Brazil. BTW who is that nowadays?

Edit, Edit :p

Why did you complain of me repeatingly, as you call it, "whining" about serious Fifa issues. Yet you are in the middle of the Froome thread actions where repeating is the name of the game. I didn´t see you complain there. That´s what I call double standards....
@ mods; This had to be said... and now back to soccer. :D
