I think if this is happening at all they will realize that Spain has no chance anymore and they will focus on getting Brazil to the second round.

I love it when people take the pragmatic approach to their crazy conspiracy theories

'Hate on success'? More like just hate on Spain. I really don't like the way they play. Especially last Euro.

Other note - rapidly becoming clear there is no outstanding team here (I'm not giving the Germans much credit for winning 12 vs 10).

An awful lot of very average teams should be praying hard they win the lottery because they've got a real chance this year.

:D

Yeah this is why I don't believe in 9/11 conspiracies as well. You see with revelations like those of Snowden and Assange that there'll always be a whistle blower at some point, it's just not worth the risk for a couple of extra millions in a billion dollar tournament.

No I mean for maximum entertainment they would want people switching between AUS ESP and NDL CHL next week, interested what would happen, not have both games relatively half arsed (yeah I know Netherlands and Chile will want to avoid Brazil though that could mean losing) but still.

You think they won't win against Cameroon?
I mean their play is not that bad, pretty bad transition in the middle field yes,but defense looks improved, solid offense (except CF)

I think they'll win against Cameroon, I just went with the line of reasoning ;)

Brazil really lacked depth in midfield from what I saw last night. It's all very static and they're hoping for Neymar to do his thing with a bit of support from Oscar.

I don't like Spain because I think they got very lucky to win those 3 tournaments.

In the 2010 wc the game against Portugal the goal was offside. Was an equal game that at best would have gone to 120 minutes without ref assistance.

Aside from that they required a unfair red card to scrape past 10 man chile, a missed penalty to get through Paraguay, and won every game by 1 goal.

Not saying they don't definitely deserve to have won something in recent years but 3 in a row, especially since in both Euros they won games on penalties - which is pure lottery, was very lucky.

Definately not best national team of all time.

I can see Brazil drawing against Cameroon but Croatia drawing with Mexico allowing Brazil to top the group with a pathetic 5 points.

Looks like could be 1998 replay of first knockout game, against Chile. Knockout games are when good defense starts to count more. Id have Brazil as slight favourites for that. Maybe they will build momentum then.

Still believe they should have had Kaka or Robinho.

Most pathetic thing about Spain, they haven't even pushed forward. More like they care more about keeping the result at 0-2 rather than risk scoring:rolleyes:

I was hoping at least wed get an interesting final half hour with Chile able to exploit holes at the back.

Both are tired I think, last ball from Chile has been worse too.

Chile have 1 player who would make the Spain team. Their central defenders play for second division teams.

My god Spain are poor.
