that would be weird, since this is by far the worst selection we had in 20 years (though Van Gaal couldn't possibly select any better, with Strootman being injured)

Sometimes it's not the most talented but the team that plays best as a team. Sometimes too many egos I think. Chile Netherlands match should be very interesting. Dutch defence will be in for a workout.

But Arjen Robben is in the form of his life. This team is not much worse than what we had in 2010... less experienced, sure, but is Heitinga-Mathijsen that much stronger than Vlaar-De Vrij, for instance?

The only really weak player so far has been De Guzman, but he's about to be replaced by Wijnaldum.

Belgium have not impressed me at all in the 2 games of seen of them, however they are into the last 16 and winning when not playing well isn't exactly a bad thing to do.

Belgium winning in a boring way again. They aren't my favorite team, that's for sure... jesus how to bore people
Wilmots belongs to the old Belgian school of boring defensive football. They really need to get themselves a decent coach, this team deserves it. Their current tactic is... well, non-existant, basically.

Shocking defending from the South Korean's a 40-yard ball over the top yet they still had 2 defenders to deal with it, it bounces off both of them and to round it off the keeper stays rooted to his 6-yard box.

Just as I type this they concede again from a corner with the keeper charging out in complete no mans land. Head-scratchingly bad defending!

Fair play to Algeria, they were unlucky against Belgium.

Brilliant planning that the Sunday evening European prime time game is S.Korea-Algeria. That'll pack them in.

I apologize for doubting the prescience of the FIFA. What a cracking game for a neutral to watch!:D

I would like to see the data showing the ground covered by Park in both games.

Didn't try a leg.

Exciting last day in this group.

See The Telegraph's front page tomorrow.

I haven't seen anything suspicious from their performance.

The Dispatches programme which is referenced in the article is on Channel 4 tomorrow 19.30.

Reading Rio Ferdinand's column today, he said there wasn't anything special or out of the ordinary that he saw with Capello.
