He sounds like he's getting the lance Armstrong swagger if you ask me. Just shooting down any question that comes his way.

It'll all come out in time. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not even in ten years, but eventually it well come out

He11 yes he is getting cocky. When he knows he is protected he can talk all the *** he wants.

I see people questioning what type of a drug could Froome possibly be using, if he is using one. (which I'm certain, until proved otherwise)

It's always very important to keep one thing in mind; pharmacology and drug industry is one of the most disgusting industries in the world. Pharmacology is like an "art". It's about creativity, up to a certain point. Taking one chemical compound and moving it to another location or changing it with a completely different one.

Make one EPO, which cannot be detected with current methods. Sell it to the athletes. After a year or so, sell the convenient testing method to the anti-doping agencies. Disgusting, yet simple.

So Froome can be using anything. From EPO to another brand-new compound. Pharmaceuticals are fast-evolving stuff with all those chemical complexity and flexibility.

That's exactly what I thought too. His stubborn diffusal of every question that gets thrown at him is what I find suspect. My take on it is that they are trying to diffuse the issue as much as possible in the hopes the press' harrasement will eventually subside and then they can concentrate on the two or three suckers that decide to investigate them. Just like our Lance!

Which begs the question: Why???

In the end I don't really feel cheated by cycling over the last 20 years. So, I'm not as negative as many here. I still enjoyed watching the races at the time.

But, I enjoyed watching Barry Bonds hit as well.

Maybe some should seriously consider leaving the sport - at least as a spectator. Cycling should be fun and enjoyable, .

Maybe you should leave. Take up watching movies or something since you seem to enjoy fiction. Which is exactly what doped riders and juiced up hitters are. I knew guys who couldn't make it in the minors because they were clean. Living on nothing trying to make it against guys who were cheating their way to millions. Plenty of clean guys out there riding continental while working as a mechanic at bike shops because they wouldn't stick a needle in their arm. Whats fun and enjoyable about that?

If Froome is doping then following the sport is a waste. If Froome turns out to be clean then you will have robbed yourself of some great racing due to negativity which is just as sad.

Who said we don't enjoy cycling as a spectator sport? I'd rather watch Froome attacks on loop than a Seinfeld marathon. It's great entertainment, there isn't a comedy TV show going around now, or in years gone, that can match it.

No ****, they'd be doing that whether guilty of innocent

If Froome's doping they don't want the press probing continuously in case there's a slip up

If he's not then they won't want an innocent rider's integrity constantly question

There's not a scenario where DB would welcome the majority of every press conference being about doping!

Sky's doping allegation fight will revolve around two things: 1) Without a positive test it's all rumours, your word against mine; and 2) The initial media scrutiny will eventually subside.

i personally think the guy is clean , but at the end of the day this sport will ALWAYS be tainted with doping allegations , it will never stop !!

i feel sorry for any young riders now that with hard work and dedication have risen to the top , they have absolutely no chance of getting true recognition because of the damage that armstrong and all of his era have done .

i do not come into this part of the forum too much because i find it sad that so many people will not even contemplate the thought that the sport has moved on from the doping era , it makes me wonder how many of you clinic regs are proper cycling fans or just trolls that just want to destroy any riders success .

well whichever it is im sure you will be kept busy for the next 5 or 6 years writing your accusations because froome is gonna win this race multiple times ....

thats unless he is found out to be the pablo escobar you all want him to be !!

It makes me wonder how many of you are from the UK...

Feeling the same way myself. I said it before, this thread reminds me of Seinfeld, because ít's a thread about nothing. And look at you, an objective person - 1 post. Look instead at some of this professors here: 8000 post, 14000, 11000, all full of essence. They must have an interesting life wasting their time with, as I said, nothing. This guys don't watch cycling. No. They keep an eye on TV and as soon as Froome attack, in 1 minute, we have 5 pages of ''looooool'', ''hilariooooooooooooooooous" etc. They do interactive cycling, something like Xbox Live, you know?

Give this guy a break until there is some proof, some news. If he is clean we must be happy for him and happy to see him 'live'.

Which is why i dont understand why Froome is still going "full gas"
He didnt need to win on ventoux. He could have gotten himself dropped by Quintana and "only" taken 30 seconds or so on Alberto. There would be a lot less questions asked then.

Did you recycle this post from 2008?

Following up this thread is taking too much time.:( I think I'll just enjoy the race, and see what comes up. When the tour is over Walsh will give his verdict, and Race Radio should have dressed up as a podium girl and got the cyclists to spill any beans there might be.

Until I have time to read the latest theories, I'm just gonna assume he is clean.:)

To win the TDF? He can't rely on his team so could need the buffer he's got
