Damn, Vroomie gets another badzilla that will no doubt launch him into SkyHigh levels next year.

Team Sky Doctor Alan Farrell added: “A scan this week revealed that Chris is suffering from an inflamed sacroiliac joint.

He was dropped in Montreal on a hill by Sagan. It appears it wasn't just prepairing for the worlds and not yet top form, it's what this guy really is worth.

Yeah, lets again throw Wiggo under the bus. Give the guy a break.

Chris is in need of a vacation, it seems Kenya is lovely this time of the year. Just watch out for the muddy waters.

Using this logic, was Contador's true worth displayed in Lombardia today?

Was in the lead chase and was acting as a dom. Did well. Got Majka into 3rd.

Contador still doesn't produce World Tour points so I'd say mission accomplished.

This thread is about Contador? There are plenty of Contador threads in the Clinic me thinks.

I was just giving an example of Froome's other half of the year, the half that doesn't end with TdF. After destroying everybody on any climb suddenly, for the remainder of the season after le Tour he can't outclimb anybody who's half decent on any slope he tackled in any race he was riding. That is a mystery.
Contador has nothing to do with this thread.

The same old repeating 1,000,000 same question/amazament of a very easy to explain thing.

Maybe dopers win from January to October

After you won everything including/up to TdF there is no need/desire/motivation to put in any effort for anything else.

For the remainder of the season = August/September. I guess one guy deserve some rest after winning so much.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Sky can only race for a little while as their 'talents' need to be rested. Those 'Talents' can only perform at the most crucial time. Then those 'talents' go back in the Sky 'marginal gains' box to be 'prepared' for next years crucial times.

Jeez.

Never tested positive. Wigans, Froome and Porte better start doing too much good for too many people soon:rolleyes:

Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) has moved ahead of Chris Froome (Sky) in the WorldTour standings following victory at Il Lombardia on Sunday.

With the Briton set to miss the final WorldTour event, Tour of Beijing, due to injury, Rodriguez has all but sealed his third overall win in the WorldTour rankings in four seasons.

Anyone else think this is odd ?? Froome has given up the chance to be World Tour rankings winner. Or does that honour mean not much ?

Did you miss the ", due to injury,"?

Well, I saw him in July and he didn't look very injured then.

If Froome does not regain the 20 points on JRod it would be a bad day for (please pick one theory) African/Sky/British/corrupt cycling and this will displease Mr. Cookson/Murdock/Brailsford/Makarov.

For the TdF winner it means (almost) nothing. For the rest it means a lot.

No this is the new conspiracy. It is Cookson's pay off to Makarov for winning the Presidental election. Sky/BC win Tour & UCI and Katusha the World Tour!

Can you name the past winners without looking them up or guessing?

And the trophy's crap.

Only '06 and '09 where I'm in doubt, but my guess would be Valverde in both of them.

EDIT: Goes to show I got '09 wrong  but at least I got the rest of them correct.
