All top GC riders are such clowns. Froome is a significantly stronger climber than Nibali based on the last seasons. In addition Nibali is fit not very good. So there's no surprise. The way you try to put it any winner can be called a clown who responds to the doping better than others.

If Froome had lost the contact on the 1st climb and crossed the line alongside with the sprinters this would be ridiculous. what we've seen was expected

we can only guess about their preparational plans and how far they are from absolute peak. from my perspective, the difference between froome's and nibali's climbing abilities is quite tangible even assuming they are fit in equal measure
