Just watched it on the YouTubes. Ridiculous. He's just toying with people. He blew up Nibali and coasted in.

There's always one of these clowns that just responds better to the dope than all the others.

Nice fake illness/pull out for the glow period, then boom. Hope someone can make the next several stage races exciting but I have my doubts.

All top GC riders are such clowns. Froome is a significantly stronger climber than Nibali based on the last seasons. In addition Nibali is fit not very good. So there's no surprise. The way you try to put it any winner can be called a clown who responds to the doping better than others.

Was Spilak pedaling pretty quickly uphill also?

Froome's number:

Antoine VAYER ‏@festinaboy
1st estimation Froome ( sick), with no drafting, 512 m to 1211m col Barboleuse, 24mn51s, 434 wattsétalon, ~6/2 w/kg. Warm up, Aaaatchoum !

Spilak's number:

vetooo ‏@ammattipyoraily 4 hrs
#TDR2014, Stage 3. Last climb (steepest 8.15 km, 8.15 %, 664 m)
Froome, Spilak: 23:20, 20.96 Kph, VAM 1707 m/h
"68 kg": 6.10 - 6.15 W/kg

5,9-6,0 W/kg still can't win anything biggish imo.

Ugh, Spillak is an early season stage race specialist who is probably peaking for this 1 month period just like last year when he disappeared after, and just like 2010 when he made a select group of Valverde Anton and Menchov who at the time were all top 10 world climbers, on the final stage, but again did nothing afterwards.

Froome is riding it as prep, was Ill just a couple of days ago and has had his last few months ruined by injury.

And froome is already riding faster than Spillack, and everyone else, and oh so.easily.

So the - wah, Spillak was almost as good, comments to justify froomes performance are so so forced.

I've googled it. British Poultry Council.

Or Bahamas Petroleum Company.
Or maybe Belgian Poker Challenge?
British Pest Control Association?
BPC the ventilation and draught proof Specialists?

British Peanut Council? (No, really. There is actually one)

Ahh..Going to try Urban Dictionary

It'll probably turn out to be something involving poo and clingfilm

It turns out your sparring partner, 20SecondsToComply, is Banned......

Exactly right.

Well, the TdF is a circus, so we can expect a performance from de Froominator ...

What did you expect? Nо Contador, Nairo, Valverde, Purito. Weak Nibali. No people being able to put Froome in the difficulty so we see the most predictable outcome. If Froome had lost the contact on the 1st climb and crossed the line alongside with the sprinters this would be ridiculous. what we've seen was expected

Why is Nibali weak and froome not? Froomes the one who's pulled out from half his race days so far this season for varying reasons.

we can only guess about their preparational plans and how far they are from absolute peak. from my perspective, the difference between froome's and nibali's climbing abilities is quite tangible even assuming they are fit in equal measure

Quibbles about Nibali's strength or form miss the point. Froome just (again) wasted the entire field with ease and coasted to the top. Nibali was simply the last man standing. It's ridiculous watching it.

If there was any reason to believe this guy was just naturally the best, dope aside it would be watchable. But this is a joke.

naturally the best? do you have any 100% indicators to measure who is naturally the best?

No one has 100% indicators on anything in life. Yet we all still function.

Look, I come here to express my opinion and in this case vent to some folks who get what I'm talking about. You don't agree. No problem. You want to ignore the salient point about him wasting the field and focus on your 100% straw man? Great.

I'm really over arguing with Sky fans who want to live in what I consider a fairy-land, so don't expect to engage me on this. But if you want to keep posting on about it, more power to ya. That's what the forum is for.

Sky fans still can think the team uses doping but nonetheless support them. allright, I see your point of view.
