Hog, can you do a search of your Froome book for the word typhoid? I have some vague impression of someone posting some book excerpt/summary that mentioned him having typhoid and bilharzia both, but can't remember where I read it. If that's a mistake and there's no mention of typhoid, I'd like to have that verified, so I can quit thinking he talked about it in his book.

Thanks.

It is in the book. It was quoted in a post about 'the Climb' on Dims forum

Thanks Hitch and Benotti.

I still don't understand this about the Bilharzia numbers going down. That seems counter to what the medical sites say about Badzilla.

OK, just had a look at the Velorooms thread Benotti linked to. It looks like the typhoid appeared during the 2011 Veulta with a rash? And he still had the Badzilla in his system too. Yet rode the breakthrough race of his life? How is this possible without doping, or even with doping?

More questions than answers

Let's keep it in one forum. This is the go to place.

See here for reference. 300's from 500's for Badzhila and typhoid after some tests on his stomach.

Oh and note who "discovered" the Badzhilla. Not the UCI or Sky ;)

If he is, I can only think it would be a terrible PR event.

Nightmare in Inhaler city.

He probably will be (if its caught on camera), but it means nothing - if its within limits the its ok. What would be more interesting is if we see other contenders with an inhaler ...

Not sure if you guys have seen/watched Orica Greenedge's Backstage Pass on Youtube. They are professional/well done video series following the team like Cervelo used to do.

Anyway, I believe it is Simon Gerrans who has allergies/asthma, and during the spring, he needed his inhaler from the team car during a stage, forget which race. Or a one-day classic. So, a teammate is back picking up stuff, including his inhaler, and the guy drops it...bye-bye inhaler.

So, the DS is asking other DSs in the caravan if they have the same med/inhaler to borrow. They all were saying No!

Gerrans apparently partially freaked when he heard it, plus his allergies were acting up, and he dropped out of the stage/race.

So, you think these things are more common? None of the other cars they asked had one (maybe the rider carries it mostly, who knows, but to not have a few spares on hand?!?! They are $10 with insurance to buy...$30 on the black market anywhere to have on hand.)

But this doesn't affect performance? He had to drop out of the stage and race...so obviously, the drug is a performance enhancer...I would say way more than testosterone at normal levels.

Let's hope they are testing Froome. Agreed.
Tonight could be a golden opportunity. There is a good chance that Froome has emptied the entire medicine cabinet in order to win.

If he ends up losing it overall, which I expect to happen (my guess is they'll finish together tomorrow), Froome has a decision to make over the next three weeks. Does he 'train harder'...

Maybe he'll breakout on Nutella, coffee and ditch the pineapple juice.

We saw Froome's ego take a bruising, he'll be glowing red tomorrow with his árse like a pin cushion!

Wonder how long its gonna take before the bots start accusing Contador of doping

Well after seeing todays stage. I think SKY need to do a few things.

1. Pineapple Juice
2. Hand washing
3. Riders use own pillows
4. Better Training methods
5. Inhalers
6. Tramadol
7. Deliver riders luggage to their rooms
8. Testing of cyclist who live at altitude
9. Refit of on bike position
