He lost 8 minutes into Thomas Voeckler last year.

I’m sure Dave Bruyneel will have had some prepared media statements for the Dawg.
I’m sure nice guy Chris will keep saying “…working hard, sacrifice, great team, new era of cycling”.
blackcat said:so did contador. so did evans.
evans got to about 3rd in both.
contador about the best climber, and on beijing olympics form, basically top 3 chrono. especially if lumpy.
maxmartin said:maybe not, but people talk. Especially Wiggins seems mental to me, maybe he will publish a book of tell it all when he is well into his fifty. LOL
spalco said:That's not a historic fact imo. Some of the greatest GC riders both pre- and post-EPO were excellent at both TT and climbing.
Bexon30 said:Both those riders are linked to doping, one served a ban.
Bexon30 said:Some were I agree but in the last 20 years(EPO) most GC winners that do very well in both get busted, and are linked to doping docs. It is strange to ride uphill with massive power and weigh under 70kilo. Then put in massive ITTs beating strong specialists. To my mind anyway. There's always an anomaly but I personally don't think CF is one, clean.
ChewbaccaD said:I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles.
Bexon30 said:Yea shame that! But with Chris the last rider of his shape that improved drastically in the TT was Rasmussen. I know Chris has a better level of TT but the comparison is scary. Stick a Rabbo jersey on him and its 2007 all over this July. Just sayin'....
ChewbaccaD said:He's putting the "legitimate" back in illegitimate. You're either on the bus or you aren't...have you seen the bus? Mood lights motherfu*ker, what are you on?
T-Nielsen said:I have not read the whole thread so I will ask a stupid question instead.
Are the actually any connections or strange circumstances that supports the discusion.
Bexon30 said:I thought Chris used to ride the bus home with Wiggo? Oh well no time to wait now. Things need winners. And Sky have a product line in place. Who will follow Chris?, or will he want to stay at the top for a while now? Become a famous 5.

pmcg76 said:Just the fact that transformations such as Froome are un-natureal and unheard of without doping being involved, the closest I can think of is Bjarne Riis and that is not a good comparison.....oh and Wiggo but I don't think Wiggo is anywhere near the Froome level.
If Froome's improvement is due to a cleaner sport, then it is weird that no other riders have improved as much as Froome. The SKY rider has improved a lot more than the likes of Contador and Valverde have gone backwards.
T-Nielsen said:Yeah thats why I thought they were/are a little fishy. I just wondered if there were something more tangibel fueling the thread.
pmcg76 said:I would not be as cynical as many here but I have a hard time buying the Froome transformation more than any other rider. It is simply mind-boggling, from a low level ProTour rider to now crushing it, illness or not.
SeriousSam said:None. Froome has tested negative many times (but not 500+ times, so we can't be completely certain just yet!). No idea why this thread is allowed to exist!
doolols said:6W/kg is considered to be the maximum a non-doping rider can achieve. However, you need to factor in time - clean riders can exceed 6W/kg for a short period. So there's no hard and fast rule.
