He put 4 seconds into Matthew Busche today.

I mean, what sort of an animal is he?

I could have sworn that Busche was in the break and didn't ride the entire stage in the peloton with Froome.

Don’t come Tour time the world will be listening.

I’m sure Dave Bruyneel will have had some prepared media statements for the Dawg.

I’m sure nice guy Chris will keep saying “…working hard, sacrifice, great team, new era of cycling”.

I don't understand all the hate for the 2009 Anatomic Jock Race winner...not to mention his 3rd in the RR at the 2007 All-Africa games.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Edit: I can't wait for Johannes Kachelhoffer to have his break-out year. That guy is a huge talent.

so did contador. so did evans.

evans got to about 3rd in both.

contador about the best climber, and on beijing olympics form, basically top 3 chrono. especially if lumpy.

Both those riders are linked to doping, one served a ban.

maybe not, but people talk. Especially Wiggins seems mental to me, maybe he will publish a book of tell it all when he is well into his fifty. LOL

Or send an email in May to British Cycling and the UCI blowing the lid off the whole thing...no wait, we know how Wiggins feels about things like that...

That's not a historic fact imo. Some of the greatest GC riders both pre- and post-EPO were excellent at both TT and climbing.

Some were I agree but in the last 20 years(EPO) most GC winners that do very well in both get busted, and are linked to doping docs. It is strange to ride uphill with massive power and weigh under 70kilo. Then put in massive ITTs beating strong specialists. To my mind anyway. There's always an anomaly but I personally don't think CF is one, clean.

Froome is the new generation. The generation that did/does things right. Panagua cycling is a beautiful thing. I think Sky will certainly want to support this shop opening soon in London. British Cycling, so clean you can eat off it.

Yea shame that! But with Chris the last rider of his shape that improved drastically in the TT was Rasmussen. I know Chris has a better level of TT but the comparison is scary. Stick a Rabbo jersey on him and its 2007 all over this July. Just sayin'....

I thought Chris used to ride the bus home with Wiggo? Oh well no time to wait now. Things need winners. And Sky have a product line in place. Who will follow Chris?, or will he want to stay at the top for a while now? Become a famous 5.

I have not read the whole thread so I will ask a stupid question instead.

Are the actually any connections or strange circumstances that supports the discusion.

None. The Anatomic Jock Race is known as a key predictor of Tour potential. When a talent like Froome gets 5th in the Commonwealth Games TT in 2010, you can take your money out of the bank and put it down on him winning the Tour 3 years later. Fact.

Keep the faith brother.

I think Porte will be the first 200lb+ Tour winner.

Just the fact that transformations such as Froome are un-natureal and unheard of without doping being involved, the closest I can think of is Bjarne Riis and that is not a good comparison.....oh and Wiggo but I don't think Wiggo is anywhere near the Froome level.

If Froome's improvement is due to a cleaner sport, then it is weird that no other riders have improved as much as Froome. The SKY rider has improved a lot more than the likes of Contador and Valverde have gone backwards.

None. Froome has tested negative many times (but not 500+ times, so we can't be completely certain just yet!). No idea why this thread is allowed to exist!

Yeah thats why I thought they were/are a little fishy. I just wondered if there were something more tangibel fueling the thread.

I would not be as cynical as many here but I have a hard time buying the Froome transformation more than any other rider. It is simply mind-boggling, from a low level ProTour rider to now crushing it, illness or not.

I can see some clinic posters' blood pressure going through the roof come July

And Froome beat Contador today by, what? 4 seconds? And a Contador that has admitted to being less than 100%? And what about Busche? Froome beat him by a massive 4 seconds also. Obviously doping.

I sense the clinic perspective is going out out of the window, even if it ever had any. No one says much about Nibali putting a whole minute into the rest of the field on a mountain time trial in the Giro, but 4 seconds today is enough to convict Froome? *shakes head*
