I wonder would you be in this thread if Contador was leading the GC and smashing it old school style like Plateau de Beille, Verbier and Etna. Somehow I doubt it.
I have stated my opinion clearly on Sky. Based on the info we know, I don't think there is a team wide doping programme going on and if there is something untoward going on, it's done more on an individual basis. I have no problem with people saying they are doping but whether you like it or not, that is an opinion that can't be given as 100% fact or gospel. Personally, I think Froome is probably doping but that's an opinion, not fact where I can say it with full assured certainty. That applies to everyone here as well on the forum. Too many people around here say their opinions with this assuredness when it's nothing of the case. I could be wrong with my stance on the team doping part and if I am, I won't lose any sleep and say I'm fooled and made an idiot of. I will get on with things as well be as I have more important things in my life than the sport of cycling/doping for me to get bogged down in all this.
Many posts I see around here give me the impression of a hatred/dislike where they hope for Sky to be doping and get busted in the future.
It is not just that one hopes that Sky is doping. There are inconsistencies surrounding the team, Wiggins and Froome. Their development, meteoric rise over one season [each] and performances thereafter. These performances can be compared directly to the doping era and Froome in particular is at that level of performance. Wiggins placing third in a jacked-up 2009 Tour is suspicious, especially after his lackluster year before at High Road and his lower watt average in 2012. Not everything can be explained with simple weight loss.
