Dawg is so hillarious. Looks like he is about to fall off his bike and that insane cadence. At least the other freaks of nature looked somewhat like normal cyclists

Back on track.

Finally had time to re-watch Froome's acceleration on Contador.

Is this not so totally ridiculous that's it's funny?

It's just ***.

Yes like i said earlier in the thread, it is unnatural. Especially when you consider he is 2/3 into a long and difficult climb and he has already seen off some of the best climbers in the world. It is indeed totally ridiculous and I am now convinced that he must be doping.

Not even the most succesful dopers in history could pull off that kind of acceleration under those circumstances.

Also add in 220km at 47km p/h prior and he rode like that on Ventoux???!

Ventoux is long. 21km. It's so not normal. I honestly don't know how else to describe it?

Einstein was.

No he wasn't, but evidently the truthful details of his life are off-limits because they involve things some must think are unmentionable. Doesn't alter the fact that he should have been in prison.

Not to mention the fact that "Einstein exists therefore Chris Froome is exceptional" is so absurd as to warrant nothing but laughter.

The fastest times up Alpe d'Huez are not when it was run as an ITT, but rather at the end of long stages.

That's not normal.

The claim wasn't that Einstein exists, it was that he was an intellect that hasn't been matched in over a century. Exceptional, if you will.

His infidelities and marrying his cousin are common knowledge.

BTW, Froome isn't exceptional?

What I've seen says otherwise, dope or no.

Does anyone have the stats on the acceleration?

Cadence? Speed?

I'm already doing this  but would be interested in what the data actually is.

If we find out that he would have been going faster than Cavendish in full flight on the flats, I would not be surprised. Just further amused.

Dave.

@albertocelani: Gazzetta reports Froome had 124/130 ped/min when attacked Contador climbing Ventoux #cycling #tdf #Froome #Ventoux keeping that till finish

From earlier today in the Gazzetta.

rewatching Ventoux and my mouth still drops open :D like a grade B movie

I think Contador could have followed that first attack.

At which he then would drop off from his bike :D

Not really. Armstrong would have dropped him. Indurain would have beaten him. Contador of a few years ago would have dropped him. He really isn't that special actually...when you compare him to Einstein...

I wouldn't think so. Froome would hang on to Armstrong. Think he has better acceleration than Lance also.

Armstrong would have attacked from the bottom and then attacked and attacked until Froome blew up.
