I still think he looks like a big bug riding-style-wise...painful to watch.

I just said that earlier today: "Holy sh*t that dude rides like ****!".

Just think if Sky were really watching the marginal gains - if the Froomes tightened up technique, and saved even 1% of O2 needed to waggle his boney *ss all over the bike, think of even how much more awesome he would be!

Long live the Froomes!

Unreal! That was actually better photo angles than I watched on French TV. Even more ridiculous.

Unbelievable! He absolutely has to be some sort of utterly unique human being, there is no other answer for this...

He's riding like Ricco, he crushes everyone so handily he has to sit up for a bit just to make a game of it.

Full F*cking ***.

25km attack from the Dawg. He doesn't even need Porte anymore.

Cobbles at the Tour will be interesting. But the Dawg will have Wiggins. Gangbusters.

i don't get what exactly could shock in that move. sure froome doesnot need train (richie) to drop costa, frank, talansky and others. its entirely logical considering the last 2.5 seasons. the man has the most powerful individual engine since lance that helps to make attacks stick.very likely, had the weather been good,he couldn't have waited for spilak and taken the stage with the final descending part to even greater 'shock'.

Out of curiosity, do you have a video where Lance does a similar (or even more powerful) thing? I love to study the difference between the climbers.

l'alpe d'huez 01 (or 2002?), hautacam.again theres no riders that could realistically defy him. the only who probably could be is nibali but i dont think many people in all honesty thought so based on the last season. btw nibali had helped froome to shake the group before froome went for a move. vincenzo cracked. it was very similar to contador-scarponi on the etna. very comparable

Too sick to do Liege but the quick healing powers of Aigle/Switserland does this to our Chhris:

Yeah baby, I love it. He is worse than il Pirata. Cant help himself.

And the fabulously light schedule before that and out of nowhere he's just tearing the legs off guys some 30Km out? Seems legit.

Are we back to Sky making a laughing group out of the whole field at stage races?

The good news for Froome is his months-long peak just starting now means he can humiliate everyone at the WC. Or not.

Most Froome / Sky defenders go on a bit about weak fields and easy courses by way of explanation of their riders' performances.
More than a few people argue speeds are down, indicating a clean(er) peloton.
Many people argue you cannot use performances to indicate doping.

Do you mind expanding a bit on how you reached the conclusion that Froome is as strong as Lance?

This, pretty much.

A team that hails 'marginal gains', has the most awkward looking rider on the bike, still blasting the field.
Something ain't right.

I bet that this ITT of today will be more entertaining than LBL last week.

Come on Froome, full *** :D

Why was this super-duper engine hiding out before 2011?

And you'd better rethink those Wonderboy references. He was sanctioned for many reasons. One of them was doping waaaaaayyy before his first elite podium.

he was really sick. thats the only plausible version.

i'm not saying froome is a clean. i just don't see why he's worse than armstrong, pantani, contador, indurain anyone else who willcome after him

He was really sick, yet not that sick to become and Elite athelete.

Yeh ok.

The shock value of the video is considering he has been ill quite a lot recently. Anyone ill coming back into racing would expect him to get his racing legs back first for a GC rider, but oooohhhh not Dawg, *bang* straight into it.

what are you saying?

The only plausible 'version' in cycling with Froome is doping.

The one who won doesn´t count. A future GT winner in the making. Everybody saw him coming since the beginning: 48-109-DNF(156th out of 171 before quitting, perhaps holding onto motobikes before abandon)-117...

Anyway, he is more plausible since his riding style is beautiful ;) (whatever that means)

Of course one never saw attacks like the one in the Romandie video before the era of EPO.

Oh no.

One never saw such massive margins in GC wins as Froome's record breaking 4'20.

No, attacks like this and devasting the GC by a full 4'20 can only be attributable to doping.

Somebody attacking in a bike race? Ridiculous.

You can use his GT stats once he performs in a GT. It's disingenuous to use it in this context.

Otherwise you might as well say that it's suspicious if Costa wins Suisse this year, as he has never top-10 a GT.
