Not enough road for the Dawg. But definitely a mutant attack. Tejay was for some reason able to respond. And Intxausti was not far behind.

But he is just warming up. Wait for stage 7.

An impotent acceleration, more like. May well be badzilla.

Just maybe other teams have discovered what "marginal gains" really is and matched them in the arms race...

I can confirm Froome's secret weapon for the TdF.....

It is Walsh!

David Walsh ‏@DavidWalshST 2h2 hours ago

@atpgt Jose, give it time. I'm going to Tour de France, there will be opportunities to ask questions.

Watch out Alberto, Nibali and co. Sky's cheerleader is on his way........

I have it on good authority that Walsh has booked the camper van for the full three weeks.

He can ask Ferarri for advice on where to park.

Maybe he's shaking off a bout of badzilla. Hope he's 100% for the Tour.
Good one! Man, are we cynical!

When the Dawg did his eggbeater thing, I laughed out loud. Does he ever look stupid, and it wasn't even that effective in the end.

I did that climb 29 years ago - beautiful. There is a gîte d'étape at the top where I stayed the night.

There was no EGG BEATING today - he struggled...looked average and couldnt even drop Tejay.
If we are going to get into technical nit-picking, I suppose you are correct on that point.

Could we say egg SCRAMBLING?

Lends a new meaning to 'embedded journalist'.

Not much to talk about. A good acceleration from Dawg, but his last 500m were a grind. Nibbles seemed to take this stage as a practice, Piti didn't look good. Nice win for the Frenchy.

god he is ugly on the bike. it looks like he should use a bigger gear.
like those hubbards i see on the way to work who haven't worked out how to change gear on their hybrid.

I don't consider this a mutant attack though, just an attack as planned. Like the others, I'm pretty sure Froome is using this as practise too.

Just hideous to watch. He was beating eggs like crazy at the end today...but Nibbles is dialed in. The Tour should be a great laugh this year.
