now that Froome has warned us he is stronger than in 2013, I expect some crazy seated attacks tomorrow. I just hope the forum doesn't crash.

Anyone copy it or download?

Don't think so. See the thread specifically for this:

how exactly does oval rings skew the data?

Brailsford also said that data without context could be twisted to suit particular agendas, “particularly when you have things like oval rings [which Froome uses] involved, which can skew the data.

I read the same or similar story in the Sydney herald this morning... The mere mention of data spying and hacking gives a man like Brailsford another option in that said data could have been altered by outside forces, thereby rendering any published data false... Sky are experts in the media, probably could make us believe bunnies can sprout wings and fly, or that some pack fodder can crush all opposition on comfy pillows and no nutella...

I'm sorry, but this is great. Quoted for truth.

Apparently the torque loading pattern can skew readings with crank based power meters such as SRM, but opinions amongst experts are divided.

I don't have any experience with this, but from a purely mechanical pov it should be possible to adjust for the oval rings if you have the dimensions and access to a lab setup where you can apply controlled power. The torque issue would be an effect of weight distribution of the rings going around the axis vs gravity, which is the only factor that can skew the torque as the moment of inertia is the same (because crank obviously fixed at rot axis).
With this lab setup it should be possible to find a factor depending on applied power only to adjust/smooth the number with a factor depending on applied power only.

The initial error should be small to begin with, as the mass offset of the ring times gravity over distance per time is probably tiny compared to power on the crank (from a tour winner), and the radius to the pedal is also way larger.

Clenbuterol and AICAR do that afaik. But those are years old already and the bodybuilders are constantly talking about new compounds.

In other words, says Sir Dave, don't believe what you read, because it can't true... someone's gone, hacked the data and played with the numbers.. It was probably a ploy all along by Sky to introduce doubt into any of Froome's published training data .. More sleight of hand, evasion and media manipulation from the masters at Sky, oval rings, my a**

No, you just need a good blender to make smoothies.

You'd have thought they would have come up with something better than this BS, which is insulting even to morons. I can't stand the affront to human intelligence. Well at least it's evident that big corp in cycling still reigns.

It is accepted that oval rings will skew the data but it is completely disengenuous of Brailsfraud to state that only they can figure out the difference.

At least the Chicken was likable, the major change was that he sudently could TT. Froomes transformation is like a monkey learning to do perfect sign language overnight...

Thank you. This is why I mocked the statement.
