Froomey reverting to the zig-zag technique on the spare bike to a chorus of boos. :D

I assumed some irate Frenchman had thrown Froome's bike off the mountain when I saw him running. :D

I hope they leave the results. Froome going full *** will be hysterical.

Well, at least it's not boring with Froome this year. The descent, the rouleur surge and this stage. Fantastic television!

Was that another one of Brailsford's brand new marginal gains.

It certainly caught the other teams by surprise! I think that's what Brialsford meant...

Never the less, before the "little incident", Froomey was dishing it out with the egg beater attack... Quintana is goosed and Froomey will easily be back in yellow tomorrow, unless the Frenchman who grabbed the bike spots a motor on it.

Right who did it? That was like something from most posters' here wet dream
Seeing as how we all get blamed for throwing urine at Froome (even though there's no proof that actually happened), we might as well all give in here now and admit it was all a deliberate conspiracy to sabotage froome on the part of the clinic.

You say that but saw something on Twitter that the guy with sign was with 2 friends 1 of which was filming when it happened. Pure speculation of course

I came to leave the same comment!

The theories that will spin out until he destroys everyone in the TT will be fun. The moral outrage in the stage thread is hilarious.

Froome has just confirmed that he is still in yellow. They can wind down on going full gas now, I had really hoped the time would stand so that they would have had to go full throttle. Tour is now over as a spectacle.

Froome losing 1:40 would have been the best thing possible for the Tour. He would literally be back in yellow after tomorrow's TT even without being given the same time as Mollema. The only real loser would have been Porte, while the fans would be the winners

Froome and Porte got the same time as Mollema. That probably helps everyone else, crashed allowed them to catch up

Lost among the drama was the moment Froome started spinning like a washing machine again today. He is a modern phenomenon. Possibly the best current sportsman alive.

Still couldn't drop Mollema and had some 18 seconds to the other guys. Without the motor it is hard.

Protected rider, perhaps perhaps perhaps or maybe the right call... certainly screwed up the tour as a competition.

In common law a precedent would have dictated that the times stood. Today the organisers overrode the precedents from the past. You can say it was the fairest decision they could make but it was also the most cowardly and Sky now practically control the sport.

Mollema's performance was also an outlier and Froome would have dropped him going to the line. Mollema was dropped by the initial vicious attack from Froome and another similar one would have come as the line approached. The power he can put out is phenomenal.

Cycling fans don't like Froome. How strange.

It makes it much worse that Kaggestad is still pushing the same crap on tv without end about "Froome and Porte, wonderfull riders. Bla bla Kenya no bike, wonderful person" It goes on for hours without end. I am getting more sick of the riders for that reason then anything else really...

So the general public think he is some kind of natural demigod, and not a fuled up donkey.
