I didn't even look at the video. Who put it up?

Vayer somehow got hold of the data. He gave it to twitter.com/oufe who composed the video and uploaded it on youtube.

This is an established account. He said in his twitter bio to be happy that froome and walsh blocked him. I don't believe that sky can scare him so quickly. They probalby don't even know his real name.

What really scares me is that sky were somehow able to delete his twitter account. I've got no idea how they did it.

he probably deleted it himself due to being afraid of lawsuits? Although I don't see how sky can touch him if all he did was pst the youtube video

Video has been pulled. I thought it was showing too low hr numbers and great fluctuations in power output, compared to him, riding in a group for longer periods. I might be very wrong myself but I don't find those numbers credible.

I thought you said the data was fake

Yes, I still do.

Even after Brailsford claimed it was hacked?

What they hacked fake data?

Well all Brailsford needs to do to prove it was fake data is release the true data.

Of course they wont, too many are too good at reading the data.

Let me put it another way. If,the "hackers" had put up a list with all his data, his bike-profile, zones settings, user settings etc. Then I would have credited more. Putting up a video from his most talked about stage is to easy a scam to believe for me. I will be very happy to say I was wrong when that's due, if it's due.

Most people would rather not be involved in lawsuits even if the threatening party with the fancy lawyers doesn't have a case.

I'm so much better at fantasy draft picks than at predicting this year's TdF :D . Ah, my Dawg! The utmost of the dopermost!

Vayer would not risk his reputation and the juicy gigs that he gets in French newspapers by faking data. I watched the beginning of the video at work, came home to really spend time on it...gone. No doubt that many have downloaded the video. It's not going away.

Getting the video taken down speaks volumes. If it was bogus they'd point out why/how. If it was true they'd want it gone.

Interesting thought.

I didn't manage to watch the video. Did someone download it? Can you explain what happened in great detail?

Thanks

PR disaster. The graphs Vayer posted the other day looked totally bonkers.
They had plausible deniability. Had.

Clearly the smart move would have been to dismiss it as pseudo-science. The majority of fans would listen and no articles written in british newspapers.

The fact that they're in panic mode probably means there is more stuff out there.

If someone has stolen Sky's data, their IT bods need looking at, presumably it wasn't even encrypted, laughable.

Damn, should have downloaded that video. But surely the first axiom of the interwebs holds true, and what has once been uploaded will remain online, somewhere, until the end of days?

I have a feeling this could be huge, because Sky have really stepped in the s*it with how they've handled this so far. All depends on how much Vayer has and how he publishes it now. There's bound to be more irregularities. The gamebreaker for me would be blood values for all of 2011. Something happened there and it simply has to show up somehow.

Hopefully someone else out there is sitting on the video and has the gonads to publish it again.

Brailsford also said that data without context could be twisted to suit particular agendas, “particularly when you have things like oval rings [which Froome uses] involved, which can skew the data.”

Does he make up the things himself?

No, that's a true statement (although the overestimation of power is usually only a couple of %). I was the first (AFAIK) to point out the problem almost 10 y ago:

I believe it's still available on mobile

Same here. I'm slapping myself right now :D . It will resurface, re-titled or otherwise. I wonder if the vampires will knock at Sky's door tonight ;) . Dawg will be very pale and skinnier than usual tomorrow morning. Coffee and cigarettes :D .

@sportingintel the power data sampling frequency is way too high for a SRM powercontrol file

Anyone use a powermeter and got a view on this?

@nealrogers I think the next step from the on-bike video footage should be real time data overlay...

Eh this will be forgotten in 2 weeks. Way too early for sky to crumble, i give them 4,5 more free years.

Just a matter of time. It'll only be hours before it's up somewhere else, if it isn't already. Just gotta find it... :D
