Excellent, we've gone from Hammon who can't do time gaps, to BBC folk who can't do a lap countdown. And only talk about how each fart on the road affects Cavendish's chances. Curious how they will call things when it gets hectic.

I guess now there will be a few riders hurriedly making their way to the front of the peloton as soon as they get the chance.

You guys are all so awfully quick to conclude things.

As it is now, the bunch is back together. Let's just wait and see before we announce a anything ;)

Naive, did you not watch how easily 2/3 of the riders were dropped off on the 1st lap they up'd the tempo?

Cadel + Cancellara are in the front group now, there is no one to bring the 2nd group back now.

Ever thought of many not paying attention? If one weakling in between (f.ex some moroccon dude) drops a few meter and you are not paying attention in 90th position. Such gaps excist

You are deluding yourself

I think the pace is going to be high. They need to be putting 2+ minutes/lap into the breakway. That breakaway was the first ***** in the armour IMO. It's back together now but we can expect more splits I think... just my opinion.

EDIT: that's not a swear word above either???

Ofcourse it's possible.

But screaming it will surely not be a massa sprint after 1 little split which was due to lack of concentration then due to anything else is a bit exaggerated in my opinion.

Let's wait and see what happens in the final. It could go either way. The race is definately being raced hard early, which is good and should drop sprinters

The gap is there to the 2nd group, the key runners have jumped across, I don't imagine they will come back and if they somehow do we will be seeing those 4 guys in front decide the race because they are not catching them fast enough as it is.

Ok looks like during the add break most got back, 10 are gone though which should be the norm every lap from now.

Its not getting any easier that is for sure.

Oh man Cardoso was in my fantasy team

What caused the crash; missed it as had turned back to a film for a bit :(

meh, fatigue will come in and the stronger guys in the peloton will come and then they will win 3 min a lap

You are probably right... but stranger things have happened. The peloton made a rod for their own back, but it's made for an interesting race.
