Serpa, Sorenson, Moerenhout rode across to Nibali, towed Visconti with them.

One year ago when I thought the course was completely flat, I was saying that I thought most teams would try to let the break stick to avoid the inevitable Cav-Farrar showdown. So I thought someone random like Visconti could win...

He is by far the best sprinter in that group, and could be better on an uphill finish than Gilbert anyway.

EBH and Greipel are definitely off the pace now, so it's turned out to be an Ardennes-like race after all.

The peloton at 49 seconds!!!

Everything is possible.

That's coming down fast. Spanish are pulling.

If it's together and chaotic at end, I say Freire wins. Smart at positioning. Done it so many times.

The peloton is becoming a factor again. The difference is only 39 seconds and the group Gilbert is almost caught

Is Canc in the peloton? If the gap goes down a bit more i can see a killer attack. Surely hell have more energy than those whove been out.

Will we see Gilbert LBL repeat. In a group with Cuddles and 1 other. Grits his teeth to close the gap. Halves it before blowing.
