Gesink broke his leg on a training ride. End of the season for him.
Really? That guy just cannot catch a break.

(I almost felt sorry for the dutch for a while before I remembered they still have a ridiculous amount of talents with guys like TGBM, Poels, Kruiswijk and Keldermann. Perhaps at least one of those has the ability to stay on his bike)

... I really looked forward to see him in Emilia and Lombardy

Yup, still waiting for a Lombardia duel. He'd be one of the best. Like Phil, he usually hits his best shape somewhere in Autumn.

As long as he stays up, Gesink is still a better rider than Mollema, so I doubt they will do that. One thing for sure, it will be hard for Gesink to do a worse year next season.

Jesus, what awful news!:(

The boy is either incredibly unlucky, or he's cursed. Maybe he should call Vino about how to recover quickly.......

:(Any news on the severity of the fracture? Upper leg injuries can be tough to come back from and require a lot of rehabilitation work. I hope he'll be able to recover well and fit in a properly enjoyable off season.
