Well yes I'm glad too. And there's certainly potential for many Ardenner-like stages in populated areas, if that's what they want.

2.1, that means real pro teams can be invited? That would be nice. If the race is anything like this year, the name is a bit misleading, but I suppose that's just like the tour of britain, tour of poland, etc. The topography and scenery in the region around Oslofjorden is pretty bland and flat if you ask me, but that's where people live, and they've got better roads. Maybe later, when (if) the race is more established, they can venture a bit further.

Jack will be ripping up the track

+100. I wonder whether he could start the TDF just for the prologue then go to the Olympics. I wonder what schedule he will have there. Durbridge should get a spot in the Team Pursuit after his ride at the Worlds.

It will be interesting to see Stybar at races next year. He did well at some races this year. He could go well at Strade Bianche next year. He needs to compete in a GT next year as well.

From Movistar's twitter - today saw the first edition of the Marxa 100% Tondó, an amateur ride/race from Sant Joan les Fonts, through the rider's hometown of Olot, and finishing on the climb up to the ski station at Vallter2000 (19,4km @ 6%!).

Among the 500 amateurs were also the pros Joaquím Rodríguez, Alberto Losada, Xavier Florencío and Josep Jufré, and also ex-pros Roberto Heras, Íñigo Cuesta and Miguel Ángel Iglesias.

Is it viable to ride it in the Volta a Catalunya or the Vuelta?

Awesome for you guys. We got coverage of the race on Eurosport, but it wasn't live, and I saw it about a week after the race.

I wasn't talking about sporza, but about RAI: this year they didn't even offer a live coverage, next year they will, so TV channels (including Eurosport) can offer it live, if they choose to.

There will be 54 days of live tv coverage on SBS next year for Australia + some more online. Great news! This year they had 42 days of live coverage so I from what I've heard they will be showing more of the ardennes classics, giro stages & tour down under stages.
