Bit strange for someone who felt merely soft peddaling the 2010 Giro destroyed his 2010 Tour, to say something like this about Contador's 2011 Tour just a year later.

He complements him at one point and then breaks with harsh analysis of his lack of presence at the Tour in another. This coming from someone who was there for what, a little more than a week? I do recall Contador making efforts to attack on several occasions with one in particular bearing fruit, and this was before Alpe d'Huez. Kick him while he's down, why don't you.

He's been humbled. Give him time, a little success will have him talking smack again until he's dropped in the mountains wondering what the hell went wrong. I look forward to it.
